All My Children and One Life to Live got cancelled today. I feel sad for Debbi and the rest of the casts - and for ABC Daytime as a whole. Matt and Ellen were one of the best couples ever seen on ABC Daytime, and this was I think the best love scene ever for any couple. At least we'll have the memories of our beloved soaps... but it's so heartbreaking to see it all coming to an end. :(

@MsTemptation No can do. Port Charles was canceled many years ago. I'd stopped watching when Ellen disappeared. I did check back to see Matt's last few scenes. He actually walked a little bit with the help of special equipment.

One reason in particular why I stopped watching, because the way it was done was awful. Don't know why the majority of these interracial relationships don't last.

This takes me back. I was in college and I only got to watch Port Charles on Wednesdays and Fridays. I remember watching and taping this episode. I really loved this show. Matt & Ellen were so great. I don't know how they broke up but while they were together. They were awesome.!

I can't speak for Debbi personally, LOL, but for daytime, she's had her share of men--which is quite amazing. Black actresses don't get a lot romances, or soap roles, but Debbi's been successful. Her characters have had some nice relationships. As Angie on AMC, Loving/The City there has been Jesse, Cliff, Jacob, and Charles. Of course Matt from Port Charles, and then there was Eric when she was Chantal on Generations. I think that's about it.

Talent like hers does not come along very often! She is a wonderful actress and who can deny giving her the spotlight? Just glad she made it back to daytime hopefully she and DW can get some Emmy worthy material this upcoming year for "Angie and Jesse"
