Actully, Natla hasn't died. The Etir cannot kill her for only a god can kill a god. Also the machine she was in could've taken a month or longer to recover the damage done. The game never explained how long it to to reanimate an exact copy of Lara with no flaws.

Yet when the device is destroyed, her voice, appearance and strength have not been fixed, let alone even affected slightly from what can be seen. She should have been good to go, but instead she had to die like that, in the middle of an unexplained error.

Lara's Shadow is one of my favorite things ever in video games. The only way it could have been better is if they had also let you take the Doppelganger into the normal game and had reworked the puzzles and environments to make up for her lack of a grappling hook and take advantage of her speed.
Also, I want to take down a tiger with punches and kicks. That would be awesome.
However, that would have required a lot of work, and it's understandable why they didn't do that.
I love how the last thong natla told the dopplegangar was that she never wanted to see it's face again but then it was the last thing natla saw before she died

I think it was because of the presence of the Doppelganger, lara knew that Natla controlled her, so she must have though that Natla had told her to go and get Lara.
hmm my take on it is basically...... lara seeing tht the doppelganger came back for her showed her tht natla gave it the order to kill her... so lara thought the doppel ganger was dead.. and so the doppelganger coming for her showed her tht natla must be alive.. or in sum context like tht.. ha ^^
I think her flesh should have been deteriorated to nothing when she fell to lava at the end of Anniversary. Imho natla is more than her "mortal" body actually seems to be, but somehow I think we wont see her in a very long time (if we will ever see her again at all).
In some sick way I hope Natla (or at least her spirit somehow) would always be somewhere out there. But I don't wish to see her in future games, at least not as a main villain.

I'd imagine since laras shadow is lara with all thr flaws removed, then once she is set free, shes going to look for power believing that lara is weak and thats why she doesn't try to obtain power herself. Then it will be lara against her shadow and her shadow knows everyhting she knows and the way she thinks. It would make an interesting sequal to this game
Natla is a godess, like Thor is the god of the thunder. Thor died by the Midgard Serpent's posion, the eitr, which is one of the few things that are able to kill the gods. Natla won't return to life anymore after that. =)
But she did fall to the eitr at the end of Underworld. She didn't die then, so she might have not died this time either.
I want to know more about Natla and her history. The truth about the Seventh Age was a disappointment imho, but what about Kathar? What it is and it's "wheels"? And it would be great to know more about "the Ancients" and how all these things (norse underworlds, Atlantis etc.) related to each other. And what happened to Tihocan/his body, of course!

I have a question. You know how when Lara set the doppleganger free and said "make sure Natla suffers"? How did she know Natla didn't die the first time when she hit her with Thor's hammer? I was just wondering. :]

@jjamesbennett i think its because the doppleganger came after Lara in the first place, i think Lara knew that it chased her because Natla told her to.

I think it was because of the presence of the Doppelganger, lara knew that Natla controlled her, so she must have though that Natla had told her to go and get Lara.

hmm my take on it is basically...... lara seeing tht the doppelganger came back for her showed her tht natla gave it the order to kill her... so lara thought the doppel ganger was dead.. and so the doppelganger coming for her showed her tht natla must be alive.. or in sum context like tht.. ha ^^

I think her flesh should have been deteriorated to nothing when she fell to lava at the end of Anniversary. Imho natla is more than her "mortal" body actually seems to be, but somehow I think we wont see her in a very long time (if we will ever see her again at all).
In some sick way I hope Natla (or at least her spirit somehow) would always be somewhere out there. But I don't wish to see her in future games, at least not as a main villain.

And PS2 can't handle this.

do you reckon that there will be any future tomb raider games now that Eidos has been taken over and is no longer a publisher/developer like it was as its now part of sqaure enix, will anyone be able to answer this? because it would be such a shame to see tomb raider gone or for that matter, developed with real low graphics, game play etc,

I'd imagine since laras shadow is lara with all thr flaws removed, then once she is set free, shes going to look for power believing that lara is weak and thats why she doesn't try to obtain power herself. Then it will be lara against her shadow and her shadow knows everyhting she knows and the way she thinks. It would make an interesting sequal to this game

Natla is a godess, like Thor is the god of the thunder. Thor died by the Midgard Serpent's posion, the eitr, which is one of the few things that are able to kill the gods. Natla won't return to life anymore after that. =)

I want to know more about Natla and her history. The truth about the Seventh Age was a disappointment imho, but what about Kathar? What it is and it's "wheels"? And it would be great to know more about "the Ancients" and how all these things (norse underworlds, Atlantis etc.) related to each other. And what happened to Tihocan/his body, of course!

She didn't telport or used her godess powers because, since she was stunned with Mjoinier, she lost all her powers, perhaps. Thats why shes so weak like that, I guess

I wonder about one thing. If (probably) Natla is dead, Doppleganger free, and Lara safe, it's this too much Laras at once? It's a bit confussing to exist two almost the same persons at the same time. And knowing Crystal Dynamics, they will twist it somehow. And knowing Eidos was bought by Square Enix, this can be only a bad twist... Shame this game is again going down

I hated on this game that Lara never got to fight Natla their really was no epic fight it was just trying to get away that's it and she took care of her in the cutscene. I gotta say though, Lara's shadow is fucking hot! I'm glad she got to be her own woman in the end
