I have the 'LAKE GEORGE AHEAD' sign at the begining of the video. It was in my yard for a while at now resides in my shed. We considered casting a new corner where it was broken, but seeing as the break is at least as old as this video, we changed our mind. Thanks for the cool video.

great great video my father and I moved to the lake george region about ten years ago part of the reason for us moving here was in part due to the great memories my father had as a child visiting lake george right about this time in history its great to see it unscaved by the tourist industry and remindes me that even in all of its beauty now at one point in time the first man laid eyes on that lake and what he must of thought its truly a majestic place and a great glimps into histor
Yes. When I was a kid in the 50s route 9n from LGV to Bolton was less built up. Lots of motels even back then, but my memory is of a tunnel through the trees. It is still very beautiful.
We just came from a vaction in Lake George. We spent 3 hours out on the lake and had a great time. Does anyone live there? I saw a 5' floor lamp with 2 bears climbing it in some store on Canada Street and can't remember thew name of the store. The lamp was about $200.00. If there is someone from there could they give me the name of the store? My wife loved the lamp and I want to surprise her with it.
I've been to Lake George a few times. Whenever my family (and family friends) go on a ski trip to Killington in Vermont, we drive through Lake George. I've also been to Lake George in May 2002, as well as stopping there for lunch in July 2007 (coming home from Long Lake, NY) and December 30, 2007 (coming home from Killington).
Enjoyed the clip I live about 10 mintes from Kensico dam Spent a lot of summer nights at the dam when they had concerts; listened to Lionel Hampton a few time also West point band Due to cut backs they were discontinued

@spathr I'd love to see a photo of that LAKE GEORGE AHEAD sign. I hadn't even noticed the broken corner on the sign before!

If I'm not mistaken, the dam at 1:12 is in Warrensburg, NY...on the Schroon River. :)

But I could be mistaken. I think it's the one by my Uncle's house, but I haven't been there for several years. Cool video, by the way.

In some spots, it is. Like I said, I could be mistaken. I've never seen the Glens Falls dam.
