  • No one can know by watching him whether he has bakthi or not. If you have bakthi then you will see devotion in him and the way he plays the instrument. "Thvayi mayi Sarvathra eko Vishnuhu, Vyartham kupyasi mayya sahishnuhu" In you in me there exists the same God. You waste your energy in anger.

  • I'm a huge fan of Rajhesh Vaidhya and in this video the guitarist is equally awesome!!!!! BRAVO!!!

  • The guitarist is killing it too!! Mind blowing performance!

  • Brilliance personified

  • magic......!!!

  • speechlesssss..........too gooooood thanx pranav

  • wow...so good...

  • Tis is amazinggg...no words to describe

  • if something is great to hear..it has already qualified itself as music...this carnatic cum rock might seem wild to the fundamentalists..but i believe i am hearing some good stuff from this clip...

  • in one word - AWESOME!!

  • Awesome music.......Rajesh is one of the best veena players.....facial expressions are just but a medium of diving into the passion of music....be it filmi or devotional... music is always great. If u are a music lover even Heavy metal can be a melody to your ears.....

  • his guy is Awesome no matter how you people label it. In fact your label shows who and where your at in your intellectual development. The musical inspiriation stands alone. Go Rajhesh!

  • Your comments are due to lack of knowledge of meanings of lyrics of great composers. This man is neither the first nor the last in playing veena. No body denigrated such skill to these low levels. In Hindu traditions Veena is associated with Goddess Saraswathi, symbolic of knowledge and education. Pl try to know other cultures before commenting on intellectual development of others. Even a small child in south India will tell how obnoxious are this man's manners.

  • I'm just a lowley cave man crawling out from under a stone for the first time. Maybe some day little indian children will teach us all culture. Meanwhile, thanks for showing us how it's really done. Maybe your goddess Sarasvati has more faces than even you recognize. Attraction, repulsion, I'm over it all anyway. Have fun with yourself.

  • When a musician like this fellow is ridiculing his own culture bu obnoxious display of bodily movement while playing devotional music, we can't anything better form you from our culture and tradition.

  • Your such an agressive defender of devotional music. Why be so offended? Not even God cares enough about you, him or me to do something personal about it. You have a lot to learn. Maybe this criticism is your bahkti high though! Meantime, take your agressive defensive attitudes out on the people you face daily instead of criticizing God's creations from behind your computer monitor.

  • You are very funny. Am I not a God's creation? Indian classical music is basically religious and the musician needs to remain emotionally controlled. It is a pity that you find the aggression of ridiculing a culture acceptable. You should also understand that non expressing thought has no meaning. One need not be religious to make a comment.

  • Ridicule is for culture like termites are for a tree. Only dead things are employed to recreate life. All the expressions are here, our listening reveals them.Bahkti, fusion, every other vibration. Why spend time in places your mind finds joyless? You are Creator/Creation, every thought is religion.Power does accumulate with restraint but that is very advanced and specialized. His joy is attractive to novitiates.God works in all ways, mysteriously. There is no need for me to defend that axiom. Peace

  • When a learnt musician himself is ridiculing his own culture with obnoxious expressions playing devotional lyrics, we cannot expect any thing different from you.

  • He is not ridiculing it, he's expressing it in a new way. If we want carnatic music to be around in this modern day of rock and rap, and if we want to spread its complex sounds, we should start bridging gaps. After all, the Beatles and Ravi Shankar did, why not Rajesh?

Albeit, Rajesh is a little too wild on stage for the carnatic audience, though he's perfect a rock audience.

But, Auvs, you have realize adding energy to prayer adds more devotion.

  • @auvs This is musically beutyful Close ur eyes ndhear d Music , it mks u frgt d wrld jst not this piece alon any of his sngs are jst dht rchng ur brain, activating music related nerves . Hatsoff to his skill, irspctv of other pts about Rajsh sr .vry knwldge of music is prsnt extrmly in his plyng d instrmt, that high skill is indicative of divine gdss srswati kadaksham , 'Music is Dvn wthrr it's Indn r wstrn 'as sd in Snkrabrnm muvi , , leavng rst enjyng msc 1 wl fl hpy muscal nrgy flwng in

  • rajesh is a musician for the lesser souls. so we should not bother. there is no point explaining to a born blind what an elephant looks like. it is futile. let him enjoy and hail rajesh as the greatest. people like chittibabu, lalgudi & ravikiran are beyond his comprehension.

  • Sorry, marking your comment as bad was my fault, I didn't mean too. Sorry again!

  • excellent .Said in the best spirit.bandhar kaisa jaantha adhrak ka swagh

  • Musical skill is ok. But where is the Bhakthi part of lyric playing. It looks like more of a cinema setting. No real Bhakthi Bhavana in none of their faces.

His skill may be good, but his mannerisms and expressions while palying the divine lyric are totally obnoxious.

  • This is abuse of veena and carnatic music in the name of fusion. If the great composer (who has composed with influence from western classical music) Muthuswami Dikshitar would commit suicide!

I would like all the audience to hear Guitar Prasanna before labelling this as even remotely fusion.

  • Guitar prasana was good. I see no need to compare them, however, apples to oranges, they have their own innate existence. Amazing music comes from India, that's for sure. Hypothetically, the master is a master because others copy, who is really original today?Certainly emotional flareups drain us of creativity. How can we think with a mind clouded with judgements? Perfection can been experienced here and now when we discard our opinions like rubish.

  • BUT since it is misra N3 too comes
