@Indianshitt I don't. However, one of my best friends is taking lithium and she actually doesn't have any problems with it. I know it does zombie-fy a lot of people though, so I guess it could go either way.
Lithium is great, it pulled me out of suicidal depression quickly and my response to it was dramatic. Dx with BPII 12 years ago, I had been stable and unmediated for years. The sky fell, and I was invol. hospitalized 1/8/12. The doc started me on Lamictal 25mg bid. 4 days pass, he adds Lithium 300mg bid. Attempted suicide around the 15th, so he titrated me to Lamictal 50mg bid and Lithium 600mg bid. I was discharged on the 20th. Titrating that fast is a bitch, but I'm good again.
I am so greatful you made this video, I was diagsosed 2 months ago I have bipolar class 2. My depression and anxiety should've killed me, I am 46 yrs old and suffered anxiety and depression my whole life. Lamictal is really making a difference in my quality of life.
I'm glad it's been helping you! I'm sorry you suffered with it for so long. I've only dealt with it since I was 13 (I was 20, close to 21 when I finally got help), so I can't imagine living that way for 46 years!
Thank you for this. I've been off medication for about 2 months and my episodes have been very very cyclical. Not to the point where I cant function, but enough to still be an issue. I going to see a doctor in a few days and hopefull I can get on Lamictal and we'll see how it goes
Lamictal is awesome, I've been on it for 6 years (200) a day. I'm bipolar 1 and I swear by this drug. However, be cautious! I got to where I thought I was doing so well I stopped taking it cold turkey and went on a manic run of madness lol. All this while driving a truck!! When my psychiatrist figured out I was getting violent AND suicidal they slammed me in a hospital and got me back on it. It's great medication. I'm also on Zyprexa and Effexor. Thanks for sharing!
Oy, yeah, that doesn't sound good. As a psychology major, I know that's one of the worst things you can do. May I ask why you're on the other two medications? My mom is on Zyprexa, and I know it's pretty intense. I accidently took it one day and I was falling asleep pretty much all through school.
I pinky promise!
