I bought the retail version on DVD and get the same problem. I believe it's an issue with the stupid "Games For Windows" application which doesn't seem to be compatible with 64bit Windows 7. I get the same problem with GTA4 too as that is a 'Games For Windows' title.
I continue with the same problem, any advice?
