I have the xifi sound blaster card, looks like xifi titanium I guess or the one before. I use it for windows xp, I downloaded update, I don't have this entertainment mode looking like this windows media player type of layout. I'm also trying to figure out how to fix my dam mic!
So I have an Xtreme Music card and I took it out over a year ago because I got sick of bsod's and hissing coming from one speaker. The drivers were garbage. The other day for shits and giggles I put the card back in and installed the newest drivers and to my surprise it works perfectly. Seems Creative may be doing something right for a change on their drivers. I am really surprised.
Sure wish I could get my blaster to work. After running the install CD my computer claims no driver. My Windows 7 computer only shows the default hardware. No blaster. When I go to Soundblaster for updated driver it claims there is no problem. Cannot get any support from Sound Blaster. Not impressed so far.
I was messing with an Elite Pro the other day (same drivers) and I installed just basic drivers from Creatives site to start with, and then let the auto update thing they have do the rest.
I was surprised how well it worked given that I don't usually like auto anything.

@PikolUploader I still have the two system, stupid people dont realize that it's needs time to migrate and find new stable drivers, also compatibility and errror free behavior its not easy to get ...by the way I never liked win 2000 or millenium, I juts migrate from win 98 SE to XP...and by the way...Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic its an amazing card
What's the name of this program? Where you can mess with all the sound settins like the bass and stuff? I am trying to find it to use with my Soundblaster X-Fi xtreme music but I can't seem to find it.
Go to Creatives site then support and find all the drivers / apps etc for your card.
Creative also have an auto update that seems to work fairly well. It should find your card and show you any updates you can choose to install....maybe create a restore point before starting just in case.
@vitrix69 Did you ever have any luck with your SB0460? I have trying for days to get mine to work with Windows 7. Tried update driver etc. still no good. Blaster support sucks.
this card is great for anything but games.... jeez all my games are buzz fucks with this card... with all hardware acceleration disabled with this card i still getting the fucking BUZZING.... music and anything else its fine tho.... waste of money to me... i think the card is going bad tho. it only started doing that a few weeks ago. got the the point i said fuck it and used my onboard realtek 888s and instantly everything was better :) the card sits nicely in a box now , nice paper weight too
hey man, i had windows vista and then i downgraded to xp cause i was freakin tired of vista, so i formatted my computer and now i'm putting the sound blaster in the computer to install the drivers but it wont read the cd, i dunno wtf is wrong, can u please help me, i think i still have the vista driver runner on it, not sure though, help me man please :'(
Chrisjuh184- This is the console I got with the Extreme Music, I think your card is a newer version so it probably has a different console. I don't know if you can download different skins like you can for Windows Media and apps like that, would be cool if you can though.
Anyway I got my X-Fi EX-Music and it kiicks ass. I am a total convert now LOL..
I have not stopped listening to my sounds since I installed it. This card has breathed new life into my music collection as on-board is so dull.
I just bought this card from eBay for £28, can't wait for it to arrive and listen to some proper sounds instead of this on-board shit. Only thing is I will have to get a decent speaker system now.

Maybe you'd know, but the other day I bought a USB sound blaster x-fi 5.1..and well, I installed it with 5.1 speakers, and I was able to access the mixer fine which was the sweet feature of the hardware , but I attempted to update all of the updates in the creative auto update exe. After I restarted, and opened it back up, the mixer was completely gone, and I can't get into entertainment mode. I've reinstalled multiple times deleting/repairing. Any ideas how to get the mixer back? Thanks!
Ah yes. I have all of that on the computer, like the console launcher etc. But I might've found the problem. I went into computer>programs>creative all the way to the mixer exe. I try opening it and it refuses saying the CTIniFu.dll cannot be found. It seems i'm missing that dll. The first time I installed all worked fine until I tried one of those auto updates. Then everytime I uninstall and restall it installs without that dll. If you know how to recover a dll it would be a great help. Thanks!
Clock on the "more info" in the video title and you'll find links to the drivers and a link to where you can download the full Vista CD should you want all the apps.
I intend getting this card pre-installed into a new pc I'm about to buy. I was surprised not to see a visual spectrum analyser / vu meter in the software, surely it has this? I use these to tweak recording volumes, etc.

That seems to be Creatives problem.....as the card gets towards the end of it's life they get the drivers right.
Main reason I made this was to pass onto others that had the card a link to the official drivers for it in Vista.
That site seems to have expired though :(

Should be easy to find on Creatives site.

The driver is on Creatives site.
Google Creative drivers hit downloads then go to the X-fi section and so on.
If you want the full CD ISO, I can prolly send you a link in PM but the driver on creatives site should be enough.

The SB0460 and the rest of that series (including the elite pro) all use the same driver and work in windows 7.
Look on creative forums and see if you can find an ideas...and don't let windows try and take it over!

Just go to creatives web site then support and search for your card and download the drivers.

I tried one of those cards a few weeks back and didn't hit those problems, but I think I have seen a few who did on creative forums.
Google "creative forums" and you will find them then look for posts.
I did a video on the USB card as well....look at my videos for "Mix in Vista for Paltalk".

Also if it makes a difference, when I open the volume panel where the mixer is supposed to be on the left hand corner, it's just not there.
