Wood is naturally anti-bacterial. Some of you sound like the kind of person that wouldn't eat your grandmothers food today because she tastes it with the stirring spoon. Plus, other than industrial ground beef and turkey, which no one in their right mind should use, more food born illness is transmitted by raw veggies. So, ya, maybe I want to keep my meat away from the veggie cutting board...
@tyrone.... yeah julia child used to do it 20yrs ago too. the standard of hygiene has sort of been elevated since then. in my kitchen we have a board for veg, meat, fish and chicken all separate and you are verbally berated should you not adhere to that. its something you just dont do know a days.
@sean.... um, no. wood is porous and should never be cleaned with soap, so cutting raw protein on something that soaks up bacteria like a sponge = food related law suit. Plastic or composite board can go right into a dishwasher, effectively sanitizing it. not to mention, I highly doubt this dude cleans his board in between every protein and veg he cooks. Like damn, he could have at least given it the flip over...

@ICEmultimedia Or just rub it with kosher salt. The salt soaks up the moisture from the board, and the bacteria with it, sanitizing it.
