During feeding time I just press the off button on the Vortech, it's just as fast as hitting any button on my controller. Why do I need to shut off the Vortech when I open the canopy and if I do; once again I just press the power button! At night I have the vortech cut down the flow it's already a feature so why do I need a WXW and BTW I am not a believer in high water flow at night, I dive a lot so I know that the ocean currents are a lot calmer at night. Random buttons LOL it's programmed!
You can do the same cordinated waves and everything else with the built in Vortech controller, and messing with powerheads when your not in front of the Tank can be dangerous and an expensive mess.
@Dreadlk Let's see: You can automatically shut them off during feeding times. If there's a water leak or spill, you can have them shutoff immediately while you're notified. If you have a canopy, you can shut them off when you open the top. You can coordinate what kinds of waves you want at night or during various times during the day.
If I bought Vortechs, there's no way I wouldn't also buy the WXM. Do you really think anyone who buys those would be stupid enough to just randomly push buttons?
@snowboarderrx Control the pump from your phone, or any computer outside of your house, Change to different modes at different times of day. Monitor the pump for failures from anywhere in the world. Change the intensity of the pump from anywhere. You don't need the wxm, but it makes the pump much more enjoyable.

NICE!
I run 2 MP40s & 2 MP10s on my 120 with the Apex WXM. I love the flexibility.
What do you think of those Cannon LEDs?
I've been thinking of doing something similar, but with the less expensive screw-in units. Do you think it'd be enough light in a 48 x 24 x 26 ?
