I started fighting this guy and my wife sat down next to me watching and eating diner. I told her she needs to go so I can concentrate. She did not like that too much. The boss fight was taking forever and my I thought i heard my cell phone so i yelled her to get it. She would not come down from upstairs as I yell at her trying to fight the boss at same time. I finnaly beat the boss with a sliver of life left and only a few arrows, and a phone in my pocket.

The black knight sword is amazing, 1 shots the first boss *If you dual wield, and jump attack him that is...* So if you get lucky and get the sword, it's worth upgrading your strength for it. Way better than the drake sword.

about the first black knight you encounter, in the undead city, the best way to kill him at a low level is to use the gold pine resin you find in the house right above him using the residence key. just use that, lure the black knight to a wide area and just roll behind him and stab him in the back. you can kill him before you even get to the first boss

You get weapons as drops and can buy them from merchants. The game isn't unfair you just need to think about what you're doing rather than just running in.
I actually got really lucky with the Black Knight you showed in the Undead Parish. I managed to kill him in 3 hits thanks to some REALLY lucky parries/riposte.
Was my first time through the area as well, I saw the ring on the ledge and rolled down there and got attacked by the bastard. He even dropped his sword. xD
If you kill the chaneller he's a lot easier. If the dragon grabs you, you get one hitted cuz he eats you with his vagina. All his attacks are immensley powerful, almost anything can one or two hit you. Even his simple "shake you off cuz you're staying too close" can deal serious damage. Just be smart about this boss and dodge his attacks, cuz they're slow. Also, if you lower his health to about a quarter left and stay away from him, he'll puke corrosive acid that breaks your shit.

I was using this boss for farming, kept putting my summon sign down before the white fog and helping others as a phantom, farmed nearly 200,000 souls, thought I was a boss and went to blight town, got killed off some fat bastard club ogre guys, went to collect my haul of souls and got smacked off a ledge by the first ogre. Bollocks. And quelaag is a bitch.
Lautrec and Soltaire are near useless against this guy, because their AI is so bad. But then again, this guy's AI is really bad too. If one trick doesn't work, keep doing it until you get ass-raped...
The head is what you call a "Stun-Joint" bosses in this game tend to have them the just like the iron golem's leg if you hit the gaping dragon in the face enough times he'll be stunned and flop onto his chest so its basically a win button, the head is also vulnerable to bleed stacking so if you are using a bandit's knife or an uchigatana you can fuck this boss up amazingly by slashing at his head 5 or 6 times then running like a motherfucker.
@HippieBassett I spent the souls first then used the humanity I got from him, then those fat bastards knocked me off the bridge. What a waste of humanity. 5 minutes of being unhollowed :(

@sillentskills Yeah, he is very easy. If you want a little bit more challenge, you can leave the channeler alive upstairs. He'll shoot soul arrows at you during the fight. It's still pretty easy, but it felt like the fight was balanced around having the channeler alive.
There's a channeler? Wow. Now that I think about it, the only thing I remember from this area is the boss, the giant-giant rat, and death from curse due to that stupid cloud frog thing.

Hey Epic, when your fighting the Gaping Dragon, is that Chaneller supposed to be shooting at you. Because when I fought it today, it was continuously shooting at me from the top. It made the fight annoying because I couldn't stay in one place for too long. I noticed it didn't shoot at you.
The only thing I disliked about this dragging is hitting it in the head, once you do so, it will vommit and it goes everywhere. With me, he went on a vomitt frenzy. Making it hard to get to him.
@JamesM8618 The area is just too big. But then again, it looks pretty cool. Coolest looking boss in the game so far for me as well. That vommit attack I hadn't seen, so I guess I was lucky.
The area should have been like 1/4-th of its current size.
Easiest boss so far for me, is that Butterfly demon. Extremely cool looking boss though ! Have to say though, for me, In Demon's Souls, only real tough boss was Flamelurker. This game's got a few more than that.
I just got the Axe 10 minutes ago,lol..had to summon Soltaire as im a wuss..he got "vanquished" while i kept wacking the bosses's tail..then the Axe dropped.
At the beginning of a game, when I'm tired of being SL20, I usually white phantom farm this guy. Like 20k souls per kill, and it's probably the stupidest/easiest boss in the game after Pinwheel. Also a good, quick, non-exploitive, non-boring way of getting starter souls for boxes, keys and such.
it's a cool concept but the fight it's self was disappointing, they should of gave the thing more side attacks especially for as much space as he takes up, & the idea of fighting a deformed mutant bastard dragon baby is killed cause he fights like his dragon daddy beat him into a bitch (which is not my joke in darkest or poorest taste) I hated how such a bad ass game had any weak boss fights; killing a termite under a cthulhu tree, or fighting 2 gimp ass bitch dragons or a handicapable demon.
I fought this boss without killing the damn priest at the balcony first. T'was a bad idea, since the damn guy kept casting at me during the whole fight.
@donteros I killed the priest before I fought the dragon. I didn't even know he'd shoot at you, but I thought I should kill all the mini-bosses before fighting the boss.

Hey Epic, when your fighting the Gaping Dragon, is that Chaneller supposed to be shooting at you. Because when I fought it today, it was continuously shooting at me from the top. It made the fight annoying because I couldn't stay in one place for too long. I noticed it didn't shoot at you.

The only thing I disliked about this dragging is hitting it in the head, once you do so, it will vommit and it goes everywhere. With me, he went on a vomitt frenzy. Making it hard to get to him.

@JamesM8618 The area is just too big. But then again, it looks pretty cool. Coolest looking boss in the game so far for me as well. That vommit attack I hadn't seen, so I guess I was lucky.
The area should have been like 1/4-th of its current size.
Easiest boss so far for me, is that Butterfly demon. Extremely cool looking boss though ! Have to say though, for me, In Demon's Souls, only real tough boss was Flamelurker. This game's got a few more than that.

At the beginning of a game, when I'm tired of being SL20, I usually white phantom farm this guy. Like 20k souls per kill, and it's probably the stupidest/easiest boss in the game after Pinwheel. Also a good, quick, non-exploitive, non-boring way of getting starter souls for boxes, keys and such.

it's a cool concept but the fight it's self was disappointing, they should of gave the thing more side attacks especially for as much space as he takes up, & the idea of fighting a deformed mutant bastard dragon baby is killed cause he fights like his dragon daddy beat him into a bitch (which is not my joke in darkest or poorest taste) I hated how such a bad ass game had any weak boss fights; killing a termite under a cthulhu tree, or fighting 2 gimp ass bitch dragons or a handicapable demon.
