Awesome voice, and playing; you really should turn up the volume on your bass, and mic, so we can hear you a bit better, if you're still doing this, that is.
awesome job! i always thought he played a rick-o bass. so it's a peavey t40 out of phase? genius. great u picked up on it. rule of thumb, if a bass sounds weird, it's probably out of phase.
Great job. I've always loved the bass lines in this song. Especailly during the gutiar solo..and how the bass and guitar play similar melodies. Would have been great to hear you play this on a fretless. Well done!

Great cover on a great instrument. Love the emphasis of the 3rds in the bridge, one of Ross' trademarks in his playing. The T-40 was my first bass in '82. Even though it's 23 freakin' pounds, four basses later it's still my favorite! I use nickel flat-wounds on mine and love 'em.
Evertime I hear that bass part I get chills. You did an incredible job! Alright..I don't play bass..have never played guitar. If I bought a bass guitar and did nothing but try and learn to play this tune..could I?..in a year?..How hard of a song is it?
I think if you bought a bass and practiced at least once a day (even if for 30 minutes) you could be ok in a year. If you studied under someone who was a good teacher, I'd imagine you could easily learn this song and many more in a year.
Yeh! I know the vocals are bad but, It's much better when the hole band is singing in the four part harmony. The strings are Rotosound 45-105. Thanks!

The vocals are not bad for backing vocals, actually.

@nabusistrunk I think the vocals sound great and I also think it's amazing you're able to play a bass line like that at the same time!
