i bought it i have the cds downloaded and i to the BFBC2_Setup then i get an error saying C:\temp\BFBC2\c3.cab

an error occurred while trying to copy a file:the source file is corrupted

When I start up Battlefield bad company 2 it says : Unable to authenticate original disc within time limit. But the original disc is inside the computer and there are no scratches on it. Any help?

thi is my solution: make sure to have the latest drivers to the graphics card and the OS. if this does not work. Format your pc and the first thing to do is to install the game before doing anything else.

Mine when I install it the pic isn't shown first of all in the first window, it has some sort of writing about "picture is in autorun" or something like that. I have uploaded a video on how to fix this to my channel. It should be up shortly.

I fixed this on Windows 7 64-bit. What I did was rip the game to an .iso on my hard drive and then extract that .iso to a folder. Then I replaced the vcredist.msi file with a different one (from the Bioshock retail DVD). Then I installed the game from the folder. This worked. PM me if you need a link to download the vcredist.msi.

@BroncoBoy89 Hey, my friend lent me the dvd because I couldn't install it at his house (Also got this error).

Anyway, my problem is

1. If I install off the cd/dvd I get the VC8 error.

2. If I copy the stuff and try install from a folder or virtual drive, I get the "Please Insert cd/dvd Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in drive" error.

If you know a way I can fix this, please help me, I'd really like to play this.
