Is there a surgeon around? (ha ha) One of the bad things about this time in history is that we didn't have the medical advances we have now. It seemed like it would have be kind of fun to live back then. I would miss indoor plumbing too!
@thesanantoniokid Let's not forget Johnny Crawford as Burl Ives's son. I hate when they edit out this part on Hallmark station. Landon was in two episodes of The Rifleman back in 58 and hired Johnny for this episode. He sure could ride a horse too. He was great at riding fast and jumping off the horse before it stopped. Also love how they mention North Fork in remembrance of The Rifleman.
This is probably the greatest one hour tv drama of all time. the casting, the writing and directing, the depth, nothing matches it. Just an amazing, amazing show. I wish they made tv like this today but everything on now is about boobs and murders and reality shows.
@scissors554 I totally agree. This show had "real life" characters as dealt with many subjects in the series. It was all about faith, family, and friends. Best show ever!
I am 14 and would much rather watch this than Jersey Shore that Kardishian show.
