There is not one game on ps3 that can beat the halo or gears series. That is not my opinion, it's a fact (look up the reviews). Your second statement on the 'hacking', is false. Since Microsoft takes such 'better' care of their servers, they won't get hacked. So we don't know if they would offer free stuff. Circa, Microsoft takes better care of customers.
