this is really good but i have a few issues with the costume, mostly as a phoenix fanboy. her costume is one piece: her midriff is NEVER shown (she's not a skank like that whore emma frost) and it never has the x symbol on it. it's either the phoenix symbol or the x-men symbol, but not both. granted, you could say this is your interpretation of the costume (artistic freedom and all that) but as a nitpicky fanboy, i had to say something.

yeah its not the same between paper and pencil to hard and feeel restrained, drawing on paper I can finish a great drawing in 6.min

but in tablet takes me 9 hours, I think the tablet is only used for painting in your drawing. But I suck at that too.

so I will stick to old fashioned ways.

but for painting it in i rather make a mask

so i can change things while i go along

also that is faster with mouse than with pad IMO

i kow there are spezial (expensiv) pads were you draw on the screen maybe those are better

yeah your right about the screen,execpt they make it so expensive, artist like us can't afford it, anything that allows the sensitive human hand to have a relationship with the material, is a better product, cuz it goes directly from the humans soul to the creation he is making.

why do you use front lighting so much? is it better?

It's easier when the light hits +45 to -45 to the face (and it's common and the most use when draw of paint portrait), especially in common demo. Beyond that...it takes lots of calculation, and only use to provoke certain emotion, story telling or even to play around with composition setting...lighting has purpose and specific. Goto my blog for more info on lighting. :)
