  • DUDE YOU LOOK HALF ASLEEP WAKE UP AND BE MORE ENERGIZED AS A TV REVIEWED CARL YOU SUCK ASSS AT YOUR JOB

  • did carl have a flu the day the video was shot?

  • i would by anything from this salesman!

  • Didnt learn anything so I will be calling you with about a million questions about this tv!!

  • my tv

  • that was't very helpful

  • Environmentally friendly? Not really. It uses 40 percent less energy, thats true. But in-general, monthly, a regular TV only costs dollars of your bills. Lets say 10 dollars. So this saves 40% or 4 dollars. So you're paying 6 dollars a month for this tv, and comparatively speaking.. 46" 6000 model for 2499. With features at the same, a 46" Samsung LCD TV for the 650 series is just about 1000. So, it would take you 375 MONTHS to GAIN just the EXTRA money you spent on this "LED". 1500/4=375.

  • Not to mention, their "LED" tv is actually, LED/LCD tv because its not TRUE LED technology. It actually uses LEDs around the border of the television with a copyrighted mirror to display light through LCD onto the screen. So in all actuality, you're not getting 100% LED, and you're not saving anything. Same goes to Vizio, that is also LED/LCD.

  • @danieladamm No such thing as 100% LED.

  • @xxsekoxx I'm aware of this, there is backlit and sidelit. But they don't really say that to consumers that are ignorant to the fact...

  • @xxsekoxx yes there is cause the samsung 8500 is full led

  • Sony is better.

  • @IceNineX Sony is not better, they have slacked their product for the PS3. As far as Consumer Reports a few months back, Samsung was first, Sony was second, but anyone who knows tech, knows Toshiba is rising faster, and Sony is falling faster than a lead zeppelin.

  • @danieladamm Well if anybody should take Sony's place it should be the Japanese Company Toshiba. And the PS3 was not Slacked off by ANY means!

  • @IceNineX You misread I think, Sony has dropped in TV quality BECAUSE they're focusing MORE on PS3 is what I meant, and Toshiba could potentially take Samsung's place since Samsung is becoming more expensive for their product

  • @danieladamm Sony's focus is defiently not on the PS3. Well we just have ti wait and see. Sony's Blu-Ray will help them alot.

  • here's some additional information we give:

it has also more than 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio; Also, it has a 240 Hz refresh rate which removes annoying blurring of screens with other TVs.

you can also hook it up to your internet through its Ethernet port. It also allows you to connect to widgets like Yahoo Widgets, Youtube, USA Today Sports, and among others. you can freely visit us at ledtvscreens(dot)org and tell us wat u think

  • I MENT KEYKNIFE24

  • cool i just bought this is sooo thin! but we where thinking to return it for the led tv 3d!

  • nice review, very friendly face

  • You stare at the camera the whole time, and you barely smiled. Other than that, the TV is be eaut iff ull.

  • @MrJoemumford your a troll means your fake & gay SamSung is better then you old black & white lunchbox

  • From twoZking's comment you can tell how smart he is.

He's just another DUMB ASS SHAMSUNG SUCKER thats too dumb to do a google search to read the TRUTH about samsung and their JUNK tvs.

    DON'T BE A SHAMSUNG SUCKER !!

  • ya i believe every thing i read on the internet to. wake up faggot ass, those are old samsung tvs. u never even owned a samsung tv and dont tell me you did either faggot cause u didnt. pussy

  • twoZking your too dumb and afraid to read the TRUTH !

Crawl back under your rock DUMB ASS .

  • how do you turn on automotion plus on this tv

  • Im getting the big samsung led tomorrow

  • I have it on layaway. 5 more weeks. Then xbox live is on again!!!

  • yeah i already got it, its great plus ive been playing MW2 on LIVE!!!

  • Lol

  • how is he a faggot?

  • one more thing....I have a 120 mhz thingee is really is annoying when watching movies. It's too fluid that I feel like im watching a soap than a movie. I prefer not having the 120 or 240 mhz feature

  • so true man, the blur makes it feels more intense :D

  • ink you mean Hz not MHz. 1 MHz is a million cycles a second.

  • if the price of LED HD TV is not a big diff than LCD HD TV then it's worth the purpose. But if it cost alot more than no. The thickness of the LED vs. LDC wouldn't make a big diff considering you're watching TV from the front normally. The thin LED might njust look nicer plush on your wall than the thicker LCD. I personally think that if you're put in a blind study of LED VS. LCD HD TV , a your eyes can't tell a different.

  • I' ve seen the LED tvs... HUGE DIFFERANCE

  • the led dosent seem that good? is it really that worth it to get a led tv? how much is it? is it breakable? how good is it with games blu ray movies and tv? i jus recently got a vizio and i couldnt be any happier with it its amazingly tru hd with crystal clear vision and sound.......can a tv actuallly be better than what i have?....someone plz responed...thnxs

  • Yup. I initially bought a 46" LCD HDTV 60hz with 80,000:1 contrast ratio. It cost $1,100. However, when I found out the Samsung 40" LED had gone on sale, I immediately went back to exchange it. I paid $200 more, but more than worth it. It runs at 120hz and 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. There's no comparison. Plus they use energy more efficiently so they last longer.

  • but is it good for gaming? i heard it lags like hell wen you play games on it

  • they cost basicly the same around the 40" range, they consume less electricity, has a wonderful picture quality, and is stunningly slim, perfect to mount on a wall. I just bought this tv a few days ago, and set it next to my 40 inch samsung lcd, and inserted a hd dvd into my player which had high color contrasts and shadows in videos i compiled. I payed 1400 for my lcd tv after taxes and 1400 no taxes from ebay for my led tv :D hope this helps people eager to make the switch from lcd to led

  • well im glad ur happy wit ur LED n all but i jus got my lcd n i dont really think makes much of a difference since i usually use it 4 games n tv shows so ya

  • LED makes all the difference, especially for the backlight, which is more localised with LED. so you get 10x better contrast

no matter how you look at it, LED owns LCD alot

  • btw. this is LCD with LED .....

    so ....OLED owns LCD

  • @AudioPsiho

And you never have one so shut up you fuckhead

You can't even own a LED Local Dimming LCDTV you poor pile of shit

  • weakest review ever, i didn't learn anything

  • video quality is beast..

    1:3,000,000

  • But the new 240 hz led's are out now, so what about those?

  • fuck them

  • stop judging people u wont go anywhere with that attitude I know u hate yourself so much that u have to pick on others to make u feel better dont worry go seek help or call me at 070-9824927

  • Useful overview, but more an advert than a review.

  • People dont buy this tv until they come out with more upgrades, my uncle has this tv for 3500 dollars and the picture is horrible now after six months, nore like a 480p dlp tv, be better off with a 1500 samsung 55 inch lcd.

  • WTF are you talking about? I just checked out these LED TV's and they are better than the LCD's. You are a stupid blind mofo!

  • u CHECKED it, my uncle has had it for half a year or a year and this thing turned into horrible color n quality, id say wait for the next generation of this tv, so they fix the problems.

  • u say that led tv got horrible picture quality ru insane? ur stupid uncle can suck my dick

  • I have over £650 to spend on a 42" HDTV, could you recommend the best quality TV for the mondy?

I would love like if it had a high contrast ratio (50,000 and above) and true 1080p HD (i.e. 1920 x 1080).

    Any suggestions?

  • this tv has a 50,000,000 contrast ratio

  • thats not true... it got 3,000,000

  • lol those things are around 3000$ but its well worth the money.

the one im get is 32 inch thats about 1300 yay

thats easy to save up for

  • 1080p??

  • duh dude

  • does it support surround sound?

  • does a TV support surround sound?!!! what kind of question is that?! speakers are for surround sound

  • ahahah u funny

  • You need a receiver to do surround. A surround sound receiver will cost anywhere from $500-$7000. A TV has nothing to do with surround sound.

  • yes Im pretty sure.

  • You could tell he is nervous by looking at his left hand. lol

  • sigh.. i wish i could buy a tv like that..

that tv cost $3000 gosh!! i guess it's only for RICH people

  • ME TOO!!!!

  • No its just new. Trust me people were probably saying the same thing youre saying when lcd tvs first came out lol.

  • right now they cost 25hundred at sears :) but i cant buy one :(

  • i am one of them. i got the series 8, it cost me $4,000.00 , it worth it trust me , thin about it you save money on your electric bill

  • I bought one and im not rich...well now im not rich. Awesome TV though.

  • The 2009 Plasmas by Panasonic and Samsung have a better picture quality than this set, and are also a fraction of the price!

  • Plasmas have a lot of downsides that this tv makes up for. 1.2" thick @ 44lbs makes it light enough to mount on the wall and barely stick out. I've seen this LED quality ratings surpassing Plasma... if you want a "fraction of the price" tv, then this isn't for you.

  • LED may surpass plasma when it comes to energy savings, attractiveness, less weight, and being able to be more used in brightly lit rooms, but when it comes to true picture quality, refresh rate, and contrast ratio (which IMO are more important), Plasma still wins.

  • DisplayMate Technologies has just released the results of a new study on LCD specifications. Test results revealed that picture quality on LCD sets deteriorates at 10 degrees and falls all the way to 50% for a person sitting at a 45 degree angle. The Panasonic plasma, on the other hand, didn't have a distinguishable decrease in picture quality until a 45 degree viewing angle was reached.

  • The same goes for contrast ratios. The study revealed static contrast ratios of 1000:1 and 2000:1 for all of the tested LCD HDTVs. The plasma set reached 3842:1.

Im not just spouting off my own opinion either, bioshot43. Ive done extensive research from reputable websites like CNET, Consumer Reports, Engadget, and others. As far as not being good for gaming, that may have been true in the past, but Plasma no longer suffers from burn-in issues, so thats a moot point now.

  • The Pioneer plasma panels are miles better than the Panasonic ones. Shame the current generation Kuros TVs use the last Pioneer in-house made panels :(

  • plasma has been known not to last very long though.

  • I work with a guy that bought a 55" plasma & that was about 6-7 years ago & it's still going ok

  • k thanks for telling me I just had a conversation today with some one who said they fixed the problem I hope thats the case.

  • 6 years ago? WHAT THE FUCK?! U SERIOUS!? DUDE HDTV DIDN'T CAME OUT UNTIL 2006!

  • Yeah whatever... plasmas have been around for ages.. nec invented them just like oled & touch projected keyboards... did i say it was HD?

  • nah man, HDTV hs been around since 2003, i purchased a sony wega tube tv with built in HD DIgital tuner and HDMI input that goes up to 1080i, i even had special cable components for my xbox gamecube and ps2 at the time though most games were developed with 720p output. it still works and it's better than plasma only better Pure blacks no burn in images at all. see for yourself, model number is SONY KD-34XS955. Oh and i just ordered/upgraded to UN558500 LED 55" PEACE DAWG!

  • Yes, Pioneer was top notch. I don't understand why they got out of the flat panel business. I guess they weren't making enough money to justify continuing.

  • While accomplishing complex algorithms, it succedes by evading natural and harmonical symptomps of cheese.

  • I see the ongoing Sony vs Samsung debate going on here in the comments. What I can say is I have a Sony Bravia 46 inch lcd and the Samsungs do have a little better picture. And i'm not talking about this led tv because its off the charts when it comes to picture quality. It makes my sony look like shit. BUT...the Sony's do last longer. And for blu-ray players, Samsung is shit. The Sony's are much better. I will soon have one of these led's but I will keep my sony blu-ray.

  • hi is high and whack

  • he, :d

  • i was watching transformers on blu ray on this tv and it is RETARDED. it is TOO real.

  • stfu about sony samsung is the best

  • Good job Carl. Now go learn how to read without stustustuttering!!

    only jokin man.. good job.

    Nice tv too.

  • the tv is nice but marketing an edge lit LCD tv as an LED tv is bullshit.....this tv is not LED, its LED edge lit

  • Now I know what I want for Christmas! ^^

  • yeah i can read the brochure too!

  • LAME

  • This is not a review. 'Carl' is simply reading Samsung's sale literature. I can do that myself, Carl. tell me how the TV looks, in real life!

  • This is not a review, this is a sales pitch.

  • but... all the led TV's are the same its just the size wich is diffrent 40" is the same as 55" but cost double much

  • Thats one Good Loking TV

  • i saw only statics images

  • He basically restated the entire official specifications list that was already on the Samsung website. I want opinions.

  • plz stop your hand mooving
