  • Yeah i have to do a report on him and i couldnt find anything better so thnx for the video

  • Wow i would do anything to have the strength of this man! When i was younger i started reading the kinds of things whites say about us (on sites like youtube, for example). Before that i had no idea that they still called us monkeys, lazy, stupid, etc. I was completely heartbroken. To think that a man went through that x1000 and still kept his confidence, and his dignity is unimaginable to me! When i think my life is getting hard and that the world isnt fair, i remember him. Heres to Jackie.

  • this was amazing

  • Thank you for this video..........helped alot!!

  • his birthday is january 31st 1919

  • everybody on jakies birthday watch this video lets make jackie the number one most veiewd video of the yr

  • jackie is everyones hero

  • Brooklyn in da house!!!!

  • Thank u to the greedy white ppl who let him in the MLB...they didnt let him in out of the kindness in their hearts but because they thought they can make some MONEY off the negro... and that they did ... so s/o to them!!

  • HAPPY JACKIE ROBINSON DAY!

    you're true blue Jackie!

  • Achievement. Accomplishment. Overcomer. Dignity. One of America's best.

  • Why is there no mention that Jackie was a REPUBLICAN?The holiday should have been for him,not the womanizer.

  • @ImDavidGurney President's Day is full of hypocrits, slave owners (who raped them), bigots, racists, adulterers, murders (blacks and natives) yet we honor them. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.By the way, Racist, Strum Thurmond was a Democratic in those days as were most racists and klansman...he switched to Republican when they changed their political agenda. So it means nothing.

  • I am so proud to say that my son, who is 7, is making a report about our American Hero! Jackie Robinson. . . .I like that my son is learning the good and bad about being colored. We are proud to say that we are Mexican American, but some people are not very happy to be around us sometimes for whatever there personal reasons are. . .this explained alot to my son. and taught him to keep his head up no matter what the situaton is.

  • Jackie Is a hero

  • @RockVoice4Real no jackie robinson was a man who had a good tempermant but in reality he was just a pawn ..it was branch rickey who was the hero

  • @sciontcdude fuck branch rickey i like jackie better, just saying

  • @200damary if it wasnt for branch rickey you wouldnt even know who jackie robinson was ....first black player would of come 5-10 years later and it would of been some other guy who would be the first ..mr robinson was just around at the right time..and he was the one picked

  • @sciontcdude i dont care what you say branch rickey was not the one who could get killed on any day just 4 his skin sorry, just saying

  • @200damary ur right noone was gonig to kill branch for being white but his life was threatened none the less people didnt believe his idea of bringing black ballplayers in was a good one...its just unfortunate that for every 100 praises to jackie branch gets 1..everyone deserves respect think of it this way..its like nascar if it wasnt for the mechanics and the pit crew building the car then their would be no race car so even though the driver is risking his life people help behind the scenes 2

  • @sciontcdude youre just trying to give the white men all the love 4 whites fuck you

  • @200damary your just trying to give the black men all the love for the blacks fuck you............see what i did there?..y do u care so much about jackie ..because he was for the blacks dont be a hypocrite.......like i said b4 give some credit to branch as well because if it wasnt for him and jackie then the first black player wouldnt of played for 5- 15 years later...so whenever you praise jackie robinson think of mr rickey as well

  • @sciontcdude one last comment and i wont argue anymore but please broaden your views its good to give mr robinson a lot of credit for what he was able to endure he was a great man but also give credit to branch rickey ...hell even mr robinson had only nice things to say bout branch /watch?v=9LaRkuU-YjM&feature=related 5:35

  • @200damary and when all you think about is black people being opressed and how bad white men are ..and having a black female cartoon character on your youtube and favoriting all videos that have to do with black people...........it makes one wonder do you like things only because it has to do with your black history?........if you like things because its part of black culture then YOU ARE RACIST ..ur not different than a white supremicist who likes only things to do with white people

  • @sciontcdude Not racist, just wanna help my black people by look at all black history and thing. why help whites ?They have nothing to do with me. just sayin.

  • @200damary if white people back in the 60s said what you said...why help blacks? they have nothing to do with me....then we would still have segregation and full blown racism..but it ended because BLACKS AND WHITES worked together....my whole argument with you is trying to get you to give love and respect for ANYONE involved with getting the positive changes done...its easy for me to say "jackie robinson was a great man" y is it hard for you to say "branch rickey was a great man"

  • @sciontcdude Rickey didnt do anything but sign him, jackie was the one who could have been killed by whites so you have no point!

  • @200damary u should do some research before spitting out nonsense branch did a hell of a lot more to get the first black player to play ..y is it even jackie robinson himself say that branch rickey had a harder job than him and that he deserves just as much respect JACKIE ROBINSON himself said that branch rickeys life was threatened as well...not as much as jackie granted

  • @sciontcdude i still think he was safe

  • @RockVoice4Real I realize that Jackie Robinson was a hero, but why is his number 42 retired in the MLB where no one can wear it... I can understand why the dodgers would but its a little ridiculous how the rest of the 29 teams in major league baseball have to have the number 42 retired.

  • Thanks God for people like Jackie Robinson. Dignity with Honor

  • @junkyarddog47 dont forget branch rickey if it wasnt for him jackie would be an unknown..plus its not like jackie was really really great he was picked by branch mainly because of his attitude and not to stir up any problems..the first black player could of very well been monte irvin or larry doby

  • Jackie Robinson is the best
