Wow i would do anything to have the strength of this man! When i was younger i started reading the kinds of things whites say about us (on sites like youtube, for example). Before that i had no idea that they still called us monkeys, lazy, stupid, etc. I was completely heartbroken. To think that a man went through that x1000 and still kept his confidence, and his dignity is unimaginable to me! When i think my life is getting hard and that the world isnt fair, i remember him. Heres to Jackie.

I am so proud to say that my son, who is 7, is making a report about our American Hero! Jackie Robinson. . . .I like that my son is learning the good and bad about being colored. We are proud to say that we are Mexican American, but some people are not very happy to be around us sometimes for whatever there personal reasons are. . .this explained alot to my son. and taught him to keep his head up no matter what the situaton is.

@RockVoice4Real I realize that Jackie Robinson was a hero, but why is his number 42 retired in the MLB where no one can wear it... I can understand why the dodgers would but its a little ridiculous how the rest of the 29 teams in major league baseball have to have the number 42 retired.
