One of the greatest baseball moments ever for me: Game 2 of the 2005 World Series, seventh inning bases are loaded Paul Konerko rips a grand slam to left field giving the Sox a 6 to 4 lead over the Astros. Houston ties it in the ninth then Scott Podednik who hadn't hit a home run at all in the regular season hits a solo shot to right center and the Sox win 7 to 6. (And then of course they would go on to win the World Series).

Anyway, his 3rd grade teacher and her students used to go to the Nats games after school (MLB played afternoon games back then). When the Yanks came to town, he and his buddies sat near the dugout. One time Babe Ruth gave him like $5 to buy hot dogs for him and them - can you believe it ??? them's the days :-)
