The reason China does not help these refugees is because China and NK have several treaties which tie them together. If NK found out about China helping refugee, conditions would surely deteriorate until it breaks out into conflict. This is NK were talking about so there's no telling what they will do.

My family's from Dandong, another border city to NK. Actually local people won't hire North Koreans because they can't speak Chinese!!!! It was usually the South Koreans business like restaurants that hire them (border cities have large Korean populations). I know this b/c my mom used to ran a restaurant for a few years. People (at least those we know) won't report them either b/c those NKs are poor and hopeless and just trying to make a living! What kind of dickhole will report them?!?!!!!!
