  • Deepest hole in the world? Based on my calculations, it's about 922 feet deep.

  • @footballseason555 thats a tight ass plan but im sure who ever made this video is dead and gone by now and erased from society lol jk jk

  • TIE A STRING TO A CAMERA AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

  • i know what the hell

  • DONT GO DOWN THERE! or else the same thing from chronicle will happen!

  • i would have laughed so hard if it just shot back up lol

  • i wonder if it goes to the nether???

  • the collisions with the sides are slowing the rock down. if it wouldnt touch the sides it would fall faster i think. but still a very deep hole

  • wonder wtf is down there..

  • I dont get it lol why its scary?

  • it goes to the underworld

  • Keep throwing stones in it, it won't be the deepest hole anymore

  • that's the longest fart i ever heard WOW!!!

  • TAKE A SHIT IN IT!..then piss in it...then throw gum...and finally, shoot fire works down it!!!!

  • wonder how many rocks are at the bottom of this hahaha

  • That's pretty sweet and not that I wouldn't do it too but is it really a good idea to be dropping large stones into a pipe... I mean that probably not what it's for xD

  • you just hit a poor chinese man with a rock

  • tie a string to the camera...drop

  • The video wiil be better if you put like a 10,000 feet rope and drop it down. Thumbs Up?

  • What if they dropped their camera in there lol

  • Get a camera, glue a flashlight on it and then drop it in the hole...do a livestream on youtube and record it so we can see where it goes...

  • try taking a shit in the hole. maybe it hits a hobo in the head or something?

  • dude im gonna have nightmares

  • What needs to go down there next is a Flip camera on a string, with a glow stick tied to the string below the camera, and another above it, so if theres an opening area, you might be able to see what down there. Just my opinion.

  • @footballseason555 You'll need a long string

  • top comment and some comments below need to get laid.

  • what you need to do it throw a glow stick down there

  • A kitten

  • your physics is wrong. every time the stone hits wall, it loses some energy and slows down.

  • Drop a hardened camera with a light down there next.

  • imagine if it fell into some kind of area 51 base and hit some FBI dude in the head XD

  • @He11F1RE666 Doubt it. He'd have to be stupid not to hear all the banging in the tube for 30 seconds :P

  • @He11F1RE666 ... lol good 1

  • @Souliee I actually understood that!

  • @TheCommenter01 I doubt it he probably makes alot of cash from the amount of math is in his equation, he probably makes a good amount of money and has babes. Don't be jealous kid.

  • @AnthonayProductions you don't know if it's a he or she.. right

  • isnt that a Vent for Trash or something like that?

  • Drop some C4 down next and detonate when it lands and see what happens

  • drums! drums in the deep!

  • where is this hole

  • @091MW2 read description

  • @souliee you can hear the rock hitting the walls of the pipe....

  • Drop Justen Bieber down it.

  • @Dieselsmoke750 Cant, hes too fat.

  • Dangle a camera down on a rope :D

  • drop your friends phone in there with out him knowing then ring him and looks at his face:)

  • Drop a firework down it.

  • drop the phone or a camera in there recording it, fixed on a rope and fish it out again... :D

  • @Gamer1988Pro a like 2 mile rope lol

  • You should strap a torch to a camera then attach it to rope then slowly drop it down there

  • drop a flare down and see how long u can see it for!

  • @pono000action01 you can still see a flare from 5 km so i think u should keep seeing it xd

  • No My Ball felt into it -.-

  • Deepest hole in the world? C'mon, Aperture Science is deeper than that!

  • why did u record your but ?

  • Δx = 0.5*g*t1^2; Equation for the distance the stone fell.

Δx = v*t2; Equation for sound to travel back up.

    the time recorded is t = 34s = t1 + t2. Make the equations as functions t(Δx):

    t1 = sqrt(Δx*2/g) and t2 = Δx/v this gets ut to the expression:

    t = sqrt(Δx*2/g) + (Δx/v). With the parameters: speed of sound: v = 340, gravitational acceleration: g = 9.82, we get: sqrt(Δx*2/9.82) + (Δx/340) = 34, this will get us:

    Δx = 3065.08m = 10 056.0367 feet.

    physics or timecheck wrong?! O.o

  • @Souliee And you expect us to understand what you just wrote?

    . . .

Lets just say the hole is deeper than any other hole.

  • @Souliee What about resistance forces from the walls of the hole? It would slow the rock down

  • @Souliee Did you take in account that the stone bounces off the walls of the pipe, slowing it down?

  • @Souliee 0-0 wait wat?

  • @Souliee hitting the walls will slow it down.

  • @Souliee Did you take into account the air resistance/resistance of the friction between the stone and wall? That would easily slow it down by 2m/s, air resistance would be much greater due to the decreased area (less area for the air to go so as the stone falls air pushes it back up) and also the stone hit the wall numerous times on the way down, probably meaning the hole isn't quite 3065.08. Negating all other factors, your correct, but this hole is not in the absence of net external factors.

  • @HelloIamBarnsy you could modify the gravitational acceleration to get the real acceleration but i left that out becouse I did not think that there was no other resistance then still air. That has a relativly small contributation to the overall retardation of the stone. I also assume that the rock did not inpact with the walls of the pipe.

  • @Souliee Air resistance.

  • Comment removed

  • @Souliee couldnt you just have used the function h(t)=16t^2 +vt + s? and taken the derivative to find V?

  • @Souliee But what about the bouncing off that walls, that will prevent it from reaching the velocity the math assumes. Needless to say, its a deep fucking hole.

  • @Souliee Someone's a virgin.

  • @Souliee Bro....All you need to say is that it's a deep ass fucking hole..

  • @Souliee Surely the pebble will reach a terminal velocity in air, and no longer accelerate. Your equations would work OK if there was no air resistance. Also, as said below, the rock will lose speed each time it bounces off the sides of the hole. Still pretty deep though.

  • @Souliee : You do not consider air resistance and the loss of kinetical energy due to contacts with the wall. Therefore your considerations are incomplete and your calculated depth is much too high.

  • @Souliee The rock is going to run into major issues with air resistance though. You need to take into effect the drag force, and notice that the rock is almost as large as the tube itself, giving the air very little space to pass by the rock as it falls down, leading to a small terminal velocity. Your equations assume constant acceleration, which is not the case for sure over this time interval. Also, take into account friction from wall hits. So yes, your physics is impressive, but wrong. :)

  • @Souliee You are very wrong. There is no way the stone can travel 3065.08 meters in 30 seconds if powered by gravity alone. What about terminal velocity? Drag and the fact that the stone is allmost as big as the tube. That makes the terminal velocity even slower.

  • @Souliee If we make it simpler, the stone would have a terminal velocity of I imagine about 50 km/h and if we forget the time it takes for the stone to reach it it's 50km/h = 13.8m/s * 30s = 416m. Probably a better guess.

  • Comment removed

  • @Souliee remeber there is probably a massive amount of friction from the rock hitting the sides

  • @Souliee bounced from side to side, slowing the fall.. once again, common sense proves everything else to be wrong

  • @Souliee 100m/second roughly. btw this isn't even close to the deepest hole in the world, this depth is easily drilled every day. there are several wells which have surpassed 12000m but the deepest into the earth is the kola borehole in russia at 12262m

  • @Souliee you forgot to carry the 1

  • @Souliee You have to take into account that the rock would have been hitting the sides of the tube at an incalculable rate, losing momentum, but you probably already knew that.

  • @Souliee dude... nerd

  • @Souliee Nice that someone had the time to calculate this, but Did you take in count the rock hitting the pipe, therefore slowing it down a bit =).

  • @Souliee in fact the rock is slowed by the air under it so it has a max speed limit which is probably reached in 10 sec or so, it's like when someone drops from an airplane, the max speed is 200 km/h (sorry for my english i'm a poor french guy ^^)

m*d²x/dt²=m*g-µ*dx/dt where µ is the constant of air friction.

The solution is an exponential but this constant is very hard to estimate because the rock isn't simply falling it is in a very narrow hole so there is an air compression below it

  • @Souliee physics is wrong... as the stone is almost as long as the diameter of the hole, the drag is getting bigger... moreover, the stone is allways grazing the wall of the hole...

  • @Souliee Your equations are not wrong but you also have to make sure that friction from the stone(when it hits edges) and the air.

  • hole might be deeper if people stopped dropping things down it. just a thought

  • TBH, this is the Genova Bunker, out of commission for a great many years now. entrance should be 4 miles SSE

  • Bring a firetruck with you, see where water starts coming out

  • Drop a bottle rocket in it!

  • if they knew physics they could tell how deep it is and tie a wire around a cam and drop it!!!

  • wahhhh?

  • wrong its not a 30 second whuts happening is a force that hits the rock back and forth kinda like ping pong game except smaller board u see the pong going back and forth its bouncing off the wall and when it bounces it slows down then falls a little bit pick up sum speed and it hits the wall again going back and forth that why u hear ping ping ping ping now if the tube was wider and he droped it perfect it will fall without a ping straight down to the bottom its probably a 14-20 second drop deep

  • Nice .. Wonder if theres a little China boy in the other end singing "I'll catch a grenade, for yoooooou ..! "Well here you go kid" :b And like others, why not drop a "bomb" ? Even better, lay a brick :D

  • put a camerca in it with a flashlight!

  • why dont you drop firework in it

  • Why don't you shout and then estimate the depth with the echo delay?

  • With the correct calculation of basically x(m)=.5(9.8)(30^2), = 4410 meters= which is around 14,100 feet deep.

  • artillery shell, light it then drop lol

  • @shubx18 i advice a longer fuse otherwise it wil explode in the middle ;)

  • By the way I'd like to add that it's not even close to the deepest hole in the world. The deepest hole in the world is over 40000 feet deep.

  • drop your cell phone down there:)

  • @austin5594 with a flash light :D

  • @mark1wtf haha right and justin b playing

  • I don't think its as deep as 30 sec free fall(that would be about 4400m deep). cuz it keeps bouncing off the wall and drop it a zigzag style.

  • What if he dropped his camera? ^-^ That would suck .-.

  • you need some half sticks with long wicks.... btw thats an old mine shaft

  • Throw a grenade down there and see what happens...

  • NOW DROP THE FUCKING CAMERA !

  • You can't really calculate the free fall distance of this rock since it's grinding against the tube walls which slows down the free fall which makes it seem like a long distance but it's not. Let's say the weight of that rock is 1kg and has been falling down the hole for 30 seconds then it must be at least 3000 meters deep.

  • Get a cheap LED light ball and drop it down it.

  • a long rope and a goPro ;)

  • enter inside man!

  • @llJRLL1979ll you forgot the rock boucing around. what if it got 2kf feet down and just started pinging off the sides of the pipe till it disintegrated?

  • @hendude400 same

  • aah i was thinkin about your camera! how if your camera suddenly slip from your hand!

    haha

  • I wanna drop a camera down. Really badly.

  • @hendude400 And heel it up with a rope?

  • @hendude400 But how would you get the footage?? Extremely long rope??

  • itd would be funny if he dropped the camera

  • When will anybody realize this is a warp pipe?

  • 1). The object was dropped from rest, not thrown down; so when the 30 seconds began, the object had no downward speed yet.

2). We have to ignore the effects of air resistance, because they're complicated, and they

depend on the shape of the object, which we don't know anything about.

3). We assume the whole experiment is carried out on earth.

With those 3 assumptions, the free-falling object falls 4,410 meters in 30 seconds.

    (About 14,470 feet).

  • @llJRLL1979ll In reference to point '2'; the shape of the object is "pebble" shaped. A round object or a thin object of this size would have made little difference....very little difference when looking at this size and distance.

    In reference to point '3'...really??

Point '1' and your final comment would have sufficed.

  • @llJRLL1979ll You must also rule out the friction caused by the rock impacting the pipe :/

  • @llJRLL1979ll I think you're forgetting one important factor here and that's the friction against the wall itself, it was to tight a hole so that probably slowed it down by ALOT. Much more than any air resistance did. I'd be surprised if it was 1/3 of that depth you came up with. You're also assuming that it doesn't curve slightly further down and that it's actually falling straight down all the way. In the end I think your number of 4410 metres is completely pointless here.

  • put some gas and drop a match down it

  • lol sounds like bowling pins being nockt down

  • id laugh if the next time he tried recording something like this he dropped his camera

  • fake

  • @monymony163 Explain how its fake you moron

  • No pew pew pew? :(

  • so thats were star wars takes place!!

  • next time put the camera on a rope with a flashlight and drop it :D

  • asshole!

  • by dropping that rock you now made it 0:29 seconds deep

  • It was so tight it would slow it down.

  • I was waiting for flames to shoot out at the end...

  • That's where the government stores spent nuclear fuel rods. Lots of uranium, plutonium and caesium 137 for you guys to inhale. Hope you didn't breathe.

  • xD id laugh if he dropped his camera

  • I have a question. Can you stick your dick in it?

  • Lol the funny ringtone at the end. xD ♪ DO DO DO BE DO ♫

  • OH shit i hoped that he is going to throw he's camera down there -_-

  • ah man!!! i thought this was going to be porn

  • O - O

  • O - O

  • thought it was gonna be a video about your mom's vagina :/

  • @TheChineesen O_o

  • Probably slowed down alot by hitting the sides.

  • Man by the title of this video I totally was expecting to see Paris Hilton's vagina. Man what a let down....

  • Guy at the bottom: "Ow, what the fuck?!?!

  • Does anyone realize that it could go down to a tank at the bottom, and be much harder to fill up instead of a tube?

  • great...now throw your video recorder down there.

  • i'd hate for my glasses to fall of my face while hovering over that.

  • drop a camera inside it with a long rope and LED flashlingts... it would be much scaryer

  • Dude, it took way much longer because of the big size of the rock compared to the diameter of the hole. It isn't a straight drop, the rock is hitting the walls rapidly and it is slowing the falling speed a lot! If the rock were smaller and you dropped it straight down to the bottom, the fall would have lasted for about 15 seconds.

    But it is.. Mysterious indeed!

  • *drops camera* well we're boned.

  • why the F*ck do this sh*t exist anyway?

  • >Holds camera over hole where the rock fell

    *SLIP*

    Oh fuck!

*30 seconds later you are in china*

    *Doink!*

    x_x

  • Unfortunately for all of you, my girlfriend holds this record.

  • what are they though?

  • *Kid throws rock*

*Other side of world , China* hey honey im gonna take out the trash, * walks to trash * wtf is this * looks in pipe* BAM!!!

  • drop your camera in there and see how deep it is

wait how to get you camera back

  • 0:37 That's what she said

  • lamarr where are you? DANG! Oh no lamarr!

  • Its really only 2,000 feet deep and your rock has been slowed by an unseen squirrel that just spent the last week climbing up from the bottom, braced between the sides, mad as hell because some maniac kid snatched it up, and with an evil giggle, dropped it down that bloody hole.

As it climbed, it had fire in it's eyes, and hell in it's heart. You may have saved that kids ass from a shredding but now, but that squirrel is really pissed now . . .

    Good advice . . . RUN!

  • @cojonco and how do you know its hell

  • @cojonco Best comment of the day

  • @cojonco

You should write books, that shit was HILARIOUS!

  • @FragTheFragger

I do write, and thank you. Notice the spelling? That's what editors handle.

  • @cojonco lol

  • They tried it a second time but dropped the camera
