@Roweiblueser die antonov 225 ist um 11 meter länger und hat eine um 8.6 meter größere spannweite, allerdings ist das leitwerk des airbus a380-800 um 6 meter höher.
der airbus hat ein leergewicht von 250 t, die antonov nur 150 t. die antonov hat aber mit 600 t ein um 40 t höheres maximales startgewicht als der airbus.

Antonov design bureau is indeed based in Ukraine, but it is founded by Oleg Antonov, a Russian designer who was born and EDUCATED in Russia. But nevertheless Russians and Ukrainians are fraternal Slavic peoples and this very impressive plane is just one of many proofs that these peoples should stick together!
It was built in the USSR! Sure, the Antonov works happens to be in Ukraina, but at that time, Ukraina was part of the USSR! God damn it! People have such short memories, or are just propagandising!
I agree. It's rediculus, imagine Kazakhstan claiming that it was them who launched first man to the orbit and so on since Baikonour is located in Kasakhstan...

The An-225 was made in the USSR and it was made before 1991 and it was still USSR then. But nowadays the Antonov is a Ukraine company.
