Of course he's scared. It would be very strange if he's not or he would be an awesome actor. The people who say they're not scared reminds me of a song, "Macho macho man!" Lol!
Being scared is a good thing... it keeps you focused, and it keeps you alive. The people who become complacent... die. Simple as that. Nothing wrong with being scared. Nothing whatsoever.
Haha i admire the dude for still doing it. Toke me a few times to accept the prejump emotions. Still get them everytime but it makes me fall in love with the sport just that much more
I did my aff 1 and i felt more scared about stuffing up, like the routine i was supposed to do, rather then the jump in it self. but my instructor told me that when we where about to exit my face expression looked like i was shitting myself. HA
I almost shit my pants on my first solo lmao, after 6 I got use to it but then the season ended, now it's opening in 2 days and I'm going to shit my pants again!! lmao
You "have some 3500 jumps, and it is hard to understand what a novice goes through." Huh? Weren't you a novice at one point? You didn't just wake up one day and suddenly have 3500 jumps when you had none the day before. Don't try to tell me you didn't go through what every skydiver certainly must go through doing it the first few times!
I get a little apprehensive before each jump myself.
I only have a few jumps (AFF LvL 5) but the plane ride is what freaks me out the most... once in the doorway its all good.
Afterward I'm always happy I mustered up the courage to jump because its the most amazing experience I've encountered.
As they tell me at my local drop zone its just not a natural thing that we're doing and you wouldn't be human if you didn't get a little apprehensive before hand.

My first tandem was the WORST.
I felt MUCH better doing AFF 1...
I got to pick when i went... kinda? but i HAD a grip onto the plane, i wasnt crossing my arms....
By my my 3rd AFF jump i got no issues jumping from the plane... i am more of afraid of when i pull, i tend to de-arch :(
