This is whats explains it. Zombies are turbed into zombies by radiation. So their pretty fast not as fast as humans though. And as radiation takes itscourse shutting down organs on the insides of the zombies and deteriating flesh. Thus zombies become slower. But if zombies should turn into zombies they should die if their taking about 200 RADS in just 1 in a half to 2 and a half hours to die :P

The funny thing is that in the first zombie movies the undead whetre pretty fast and smart, using rocks to smach the window etc... and then they gradually became dumber and dumber in the movies. But now becoming smarter again (and faster like in 28 days after.)
