Nothings wrong about people gathering for Jax/skilltoys.
I just think the contest makes many different people compete and they have many different styles. Thats impossible to judge and leaves others discouraged because everyone has there own style when they reach a certain level. Its like why would you want to Pit me agaisnt Joebro, hes my friend =D As for my sponsorship Im happy with it and Im doing nothing to jepordize that.
At first I want to react as Hackercz, but now I understand your point of view and completely agree with it. I will not probably take part in next contest.
The way I view the future is a loving community. Competitions tend to break communitys up.
Look at the yoyoing community, there all against each other due to companys they like and dislike and oh I won 20 contests at 2nd place Im so better than you.
If it is a contest just make sure its more for the FUN part rather than the WINNING part ^^
I can see both sides of this argument. And I am torn between the two. I am not against contests, but Will is right that sometimes contests create some egos. But some people enter contests for the right reasons - just for fun and to participate with people that are into the same thing. I wouldn't say stop the contests. I would just try to encourage people to look at things differently. It will be interesting to see how things play out.
