i used to be a shredhead. but then i realized that all i was doing was playing fragments of scales at fast speeds. nobody cared. i became bored with my plaing and i found out i was brainwashed into thinking i was good, when really, i just mastered playing stuff fast. but people wanna hear MUSIC. and so do i. i now love the blues, which i sincerely believe is harder than any shred stuff. its harder to be tasteful and pick your notes carefully to enhance a song than play a buttload of notes

1st of all, no one fucking asked for your opinion on virtuoso guitarists and what the fuck has it got to do with white noise. I would claim myself as a virtuoso guitarist but i am in no way a moronic egotistical yngwie malmsteen/dragonforce/john petrcci fiend. You generalise guitarists too much. Not all virtuosos mindlessly sweep pick at 300bpm. Many are classically trained from a young age and have genuine skill that only a handful of people possess. Learning guitar is very difficult.

Are you aware that i HATE virtuoso guitarists? They are paraded on a musical pedestal for making an obscenely unlistenable racket, devoid of any soul or emotion. I love guitar solos when they add to the dimension or texture of a song and have some form of passion in them, but NOT when they are implimented purely for the sake of flamboyancy or technical wizardry, wielding only a 'notes per second' quality. I'm not sure what you mean by virtuosos, but experimentation with a guitar-solitary or otherwise-can produce a near-infinite amount of interesting outcomes. Of course, the people behind them are sometimes total douches, and the guitar itself has a tendency to steal the spotlight, but I wouldn't discount its potential or value.

Are you going to upload pink, brownian, azure, etc. noise? Also, I'd appreciate a mp3 of "actual" white noise if you have it. Thanks.

Im with you on that. I target a very specific type of player when i say Virtuoso, the type who thinks that sweep picked arpeggios at 260bpm are 'cool'. I'm all for interesting and inventive playing styles, which is why i like bands like Mono, Deftones, Tool etc. Distinctive playing styles, still technial, but without constant fast shredding.

Also, this is the closest thing to white noise that Youtube compression will allow i'm afraid.
