The building and the land beneath it are British Crown property, since it was bequeathed by the people of Bucharest to the British Sovereign estate in early c20th and remained as such during communist times, thus avoiding interference from the Romanian state. The statue in front is a modern biblical theme bronze, the donation of local individuals.
