  • The singer is actually an EX-Hello! Project (compay produced by Tsunku one of the composers of this game) She's Japanese but grew up in Hawaii, Her name is Ayaka Nigata (Kimura now that she's married)

  • LMFAO! xD

  • i think are the dubs are o.k. and then i mean EVERY dub

  • Do you think that this will ever come out on Wii? Even a port? That would be fun...then I could have it even louder and annoy my family even more... :P

  • @ToonLink1239 Announced it at E3!

  • i like the fan club songs in english!

  • whoa....I'm a lefty....so this is all strange....

  • Who's Reggie?

  • I think she is talking about the president for nintendo of amarica,

  • LOL 8:56

  • They've done the Karateman song well. Same goes for That's Paradise. But I prefer the Japanese version for that hype yell in the beginning of the song. It sound more masculine and IMO really doesn't really suit the character. Which is why I laughed so hard the first time I heard it XD

  • you guys are so picky you know the reason the songs got to get changed is beacuse of the english users. I find no problem with them at all yes some of them are emotionless but come on give it a break. they are still good songs and this is from somebody who loves the subs then dubs and the original opening for anime so I think you guys need to back off some.

  • its to hard to get the airborder in gold!!!! i have like tried like.... 1000000 times this game looks easy but its hard"!!!!!

  • i prefer Glee Club,it's cute and funny XD

  • Was my first time to see this game, and is awesome :D!!

  • What about frog hop? It sounds like a realistic old fashioned rock song, while in rhythm tengoku it sounds like a short little boy with a flat but squeaky voice.

  • Not much difference speedFOXSonic, I think. The game I bought was called Rhythm Paradise, and it had pretty much everything from Rhythm Heaven.

  • what is the diffents of rythm paradise and rythm heaven???

  • Nothing. One is European and one isn't.

  • Hmm, odd. It doesn't tell you specifically who's singing in the English version. Most likely it's one of those many names under the NOA Treehouse or Special Thanks. I did notice that Christina Peyser (Mona Pizza) is NOT one of them though, so all the voices were probably in-house and primarily localizers whereas the Japanese voices were actual pop singers.

It's something I notice a lot with Nintendo...though Professor Layton was voiced by an authentic British man.

  • l0l 2:40 i see y all her fans r monkeys XD on thats paradise when the little dudes duck it sound like they're saying "pit pit pit crew!"

  • 2:40- "Yeah, yeah, yeah??"

    NO! NO! NO! NO!

Oh, and "That's Paradise" sounds like a Dragonball Z Opening.

  • haha I was distracted listening to the song for karate man rather than playing it XD

  • you screw up a lot....on easy songs....

  • It's not easy playing with one hand and recording with the other.

  • Leonardo did outstandingly well for being heavily impared with a camera :(

  • Not saying he didn't do a good job, but what about "Rhythm Tengoku Perfect Play"?

  • karate man is awesome!

  • where did you get that game it looks fun

  • im thinking about getting this game is it any good

  • SCRATCH-O! i beat this game already on my DSi its easy

  • karateman man is ok, anyone agree?

  • It's hard for me... Especially the first Rhythm Tengoku.

  • I meant the dubbing but ok, yea it is kinda hard

  • that yellow Dj guy looks like he is having WAAYY too much fun. XD

  • I hope they don't change the SCRACH-O in the german version!

  • is that the last lvl?! if so this game is hella short!!!!!!!!

  • He's not showing every level, only the ones that have dubbed lyrics.

  • the first one....

  • IM STUCK ON THIS LEVEL!!

  • SCRATCH-O!

    HEY!

  • can you make your own beats in this game? that would be awsome

  • Well done video.

    =]

  • That's Paradise is my favorite song in the game

  • what? I think her singing is cute >.>

  • i agree, my friends TOTALLY agrees!

  • I'd rather not understand the cheesy lyrics

  • The dub is actually very well done! Do you really think Tsunko of Morning Musume and Hello! Project fame will even PERMIT poor English dubbing?? Not a chance!

  • ... It's Tsunku.

And chances are, he didn't even get to take a look at the dub. Once it is brought to the US, the dubbing is no responsibility of the Japanese company.

  • The dub is average at BEST to POOR at worst.

    FACT.

  • FACT.

    BEARS. BEAT. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.

nah I'm just playing around :L

  • which bear is best. False blackbear. Fact bears eat beats. Bears beets battlestar galactica

    gotta love the office!

  • Hmm... I thought this game was gay, but watching this vid partially changed my mind.

  • wow the credits even have a game

  • i actually like both the jap and eng versions of the songs

  • Karateman is the first game in that I really like in the English version just the "Punch! Kick!" isn't that good like in the Japanese game.

    Thanky for the upload^^

  • Hmm, I wonder if the sound track will get a re-release in Japan or a release in US/UK with the English translation songs included.

  • wonderful.

  • 1: The rain song definably has that "tv opening" sound to it... which actually makes the dub sound even better. It could be used for an 80's show or something.

2: I actually like this girl's singing- I mean, she isn't very "into it", sure, but at least she's on tune? I mean, at least she SOUNDS like a kid.

3: Again, this has a "tv opening" feel to it... even more so that the first one. I guess it's pretty good for an ending, though?

  • I think the Fan Club songs sound nice...except the Yeah Yeah Yeah, and Boom Boom Boom, and the Wonderful (as you noted)

But aside from those blunders, I think it sounds nice...

  • Strangly, I loved the "Boom Boom Boom"... maybe that's just me...

  • In "Karate Man" I liked the Japanese's "Punch Kii!" better than "Punch Kick!" still I want this game!

  • Man, when that girl said "...wonderful...", it killed me.

  • I like the dog that runs with the surfers in the staff credits game

  • I think the Japanese singing on the fan club stage is actually pretty bad, so it works well. It sounds like a little girl.

  • To clarify, the idol IS a little girl so I think the voice is fitting. I didn't actually mean the JP version is bad, I meant that in both versions it sounds like they tried to give it a half-hearted kind of little-girl-singing feeling.

  • SCRATCHO!!!!!!!! FUCK YEAR

  • The song for Karate Man probably got the best translation in the entire game. It just sounds so good.

  • I wonder if DS games will work on the new DSI..

  • "I suppose" they do.

    Ugh... the puns...

  • *sigh* of course they will. its called the DS i. The ds games will actually perform better on the dsi

  • how the hell can a DS game perform "better"?

  • All Of 'Em Work. I Tried.

  • Yes, leaving the voices for the DJ school unchanged was a wonderful decision, the Japanese voices there are just too awesonme :D.

Most of the English songs aren't too bad actually, it's just the fanclub girl that sings awfully emotionless

  • Does "Amonei" from the Idol game really mean "I suppose?"

  • "kamo ne", meaning "probably"

  • this is second nintendo game using funimation voice cast. =D

  • Nintendo never used the FUNimation voice cast you dumbass. They only hire Seattle talent.

  • I think only the fan club one is really disappointing. I liked how the others turned out.

And yay for the DJ one being unchanged :D

  • YESSS!!!!!!! they didn't change dj school! and stop OOH!, SCratcho HEY!

  • There is one change to the DJ one at the beggining he says hehehe in the japanese version in the english version he says oh yeah other than that its pretty much the same

  • Actually, from my experience in seeing different videos of the DJ School mini-game, that pattern is different each time you play it. So, really, everything is really unchanged about it.

  • I just wanted to be right about something

    : )

  • Eh, they should've kept the japanese VO for karate man, would've made it alot more epic.

    its ok though, i guess.

    Scratch-O! hey! <3<3<3

  • I Never Felt My Heart Go Like This

    BOOM BOOM BOOM

    Its Wonderful

God I liked her japanese counterpart (the one that could actually show emotion)

(the new frogs are wayy better then the old although thats not in this vid)

  • & I'm guessing they didn't change that DJ one since it was already in English. *goes to find full song on YouTube*

  • Karate Man: Sounded just fine. Liked the noise that he makes when you hit a barrel

Fan Club 2: Still lacks emotion

    Airboarder: Actually not that bad

I should listen to the original JPN tracks.

  • YAY the two djs didn't change

  • Why did they need to change the vocal cues for Karate Man? They're the exact same words and they sound so much better in high pitched engrish.

  • lol

  • Also notice that the monkey in the front row looks over at you, noticing that you aren't clapping.

    Fuckin' fanboys.

  • Hahah yeah, the best part about that minigame is that basically they're calling idol followers a bunch of monkeys.
