Part 2 ....You apparently did not have time to get any sleep. As you had to get back to Detroit and arrive by 7 am. That is when I began to learn what our "special" Ernie was made of. You touched my heart that morning as you gave testimony for your love of "Our Lord". I had the pleasure of

Part 1.......Ernie, I was born loving you and didn't even know it ! How could I ? I first had the distinct pleasure of meeting you at a Men's Christian breakfast. That is when I identified I loved you. (Tears are rolling down my cheeks-a mixture of happy and sad tears-since you will soon be with "Our Savior" ). You had come in as a guest speaker. After a doubleheader in Baltimore. At which one game went extra innings.

(I always preferred Briggs Stadium). When Billy Crystal was filming 61* at the Grand Ole Lady at Michigan and Trumball. It broke my heart that we could not save a piece of her. Ernie, my brother learned he had incurable cancer about the same time you learned of your fate. I tried to arrange

for him to join me. For a recent Mitch Albom charity event at The Fox. To be continued.....
