@YTisMyPlaylist i don't. this is just the first link to youtube that shows up when i type a "Y" in my browser, cause it's in alphabetical order and asphyx is the first one starting with an "A" and i always just type in a "Y" and click on this link to get to youtube. faster than typing out youtube. so i've heard the beginning of this song like 50 times by now and it gets old after a while if you can imagine. really though they're some ok old school, probably heavier than some from the same era.

@taxi911 death IS the old school band ya foo. front man chuck schuldiner was referred to as "the father of death metal" band named death (formerly mantas) + the word "metal" = deathmetal. or at least that's how i like to pretend it came to be... such a simple explanation. many would call death the first death metal band, i would, but some disagree and say they were "one of the first" though i've never seen an argument to suggest someone else was THE first.

Yeah! Its all about the energy in it! Actually, music like this still exist. But seldom seen as Death Metal. These days, heavily death metal influenced metal core still possess such quality of highly energetic rhythms that are not really technical like those Power (pussy) metal stuff. However, despite the fact that metal core is rising everywhere in the metal scene, I still prefer Death Metal!
