The Color of Pomegranates is the worst film I've ever seen. I made it through 15 minutes. I wanted to slit my throat. You can't call it a movie because it doesn't move. It is a succession of still photographs, each one remaining on the screen for 5 seconds. A shot of the ground, a shot of a window, a shot of a flower, a shot of a face, etc.. It's endless and tedious torture Groundbreaking cinema? Anyone with a scanner and the rudiments of Final Cut Pro could assemble this disaster.
@mercede75 I pity you. and anyone with a movie camera can make a movie!! and anyone with a camera can take photographs!! so if you think it's about equipment then you are fckn stupid. and if you think it should be entertaining and funny then you are dumb and should stick to Hollywood movies and cartoon.
why .. why didn't you slit your throat??? promise me to do it next time, so we don't have to read your stupid comments.
@mercede75 Symbolism and folklore isn't everyone's cup of tea. The film can seem to progress rather slowly for those of us who are used to more action oriented protagonists. What made you want to watch the film?
why everyone says armenian when sergey said it was georgian movie omg, it is shot in georgia, every actor is georgian every actress is georgian except sayat. He is armenian actor who lived in georgia. Sayat nova was georgian man, with armenian descent. He wanted to be buried in tbilisi cause he loved georgian and counted himself georgian he wrote all of his peoms in georgian
this is Georgian movie, about Georgian poet Sayat-Nova, who had Armenian origins, but he wrote all his poems in Georgian, than in other languages, he is burried in Georgia (that was his wish) and he belongs to Georgia, just as the movie is also Georgian!!!
why you not mark that sayat nova was in Georgia and this beautiful woman is georgian actress Sofiko Chiaureli who played in this movie role of the Queen Anna (sister of Georgian King Erekle II)
@kinowalt Has nothing to do with muslims. It's Armenian film maker Sergey Parajanov, and the movie is about the Armenian composer Sayat Nova.Armenians are the first nation to adopt christianity in the world.
how beautiful.

Some of the most amazing creative associations I've seen. Sea cups, for example.

@25rsboy I like their song too! However, I feel the music video only allows one glimpses of the wonder of the film.
