Geez Louise! Can't I listen to a single Christian song without having either that freak, Dark Lord Lucifer, or some debate going on about the existence of God. That's one thing I find convincing even more than all the other accounts of miracles etc, if he wasn't who he'd said why else would he have said it to the Romans, knowing he'd be put to death if he did?

there memory was better because thats all they had to use to document things. today we can save memories at the click of a button, or by recording it. there only way to remember things was to memorize them.
they couldn't exactly carry the scroll's or tablets around while walking around cities with jesus.

but just like your vacation, jesus's tricks were not unique to him. there were others who claimed to have done the same or similar acts. jesus was lucky and won the "messiah contest" (he had good PR people).
20 years ago people didnt have internet and had to handle info the same way. were not much different, we have the same memory skills as those 3,000 years ago.

Where did you hear there was a second version of the ten commandments? my friend, some people have attempted to alter the Bible since Jesus' time, but the only authors Judeo-Christian doctrine accepts are those who were believers and whose writings are surely there. Some people try to use the "gospels" of Judas and Thomas, but there is no basis that either of them wrote them and they contain teachings that do not come from Jesus. I belive Luke's lineage is not as complete as Matt's, not sure tho

I thought you were going to tell me some bogus added "Bible" book had a different set of rules. In Exodus 20, God gives Moses the 10 Cs. Immediately Moses breaks the tablets in his anger at the Israelites' sin. God re-writes THE SAME thing EX 34, Moses reads them aloud DEU 5. While the probabilities favor Creationism over Evolution, it is possile (by random probability, well under a 1/10,000,000,000 shot) that after God created existence, he let evolution flow. But since the time required for evolution would almost definitely have meant the process started long enough ago that the sun would have been significantly larger, and therefore the climate much much warmer...

Because I see it this way: Either an all-powerful God created everything, or everything has always existed, and is therefore all-powerful. God seems more logical. Everyone has a brain, doesn't mean they need to ask questions about someone elses belief's. If someone believes in something you don't you shouldn't try to contradict them. Also if you want to ask questions ask something worth your while. If you don't believe in Christ then why waste your time to ask about it.

well if everybody did this gays could marry and no one would have a problem with abortions or stem cell research. im glad you can accept these behaviours, most christians think it is wrong and want them to stop.

yes the thing is you don't believe in a religion i'm pretty sure so thats differant the abortion ect.ect is about things that to differant people have totally opposite opinions on something very big. does arguing about God on youtube matter to you so much you keep on doing it? it matters to me only because i believe in God and everything you do should be in the name of God

i enjoy a good debate. i am really intrested to see if anyone has something logical to say on a very illogical concept, like god.

maybe abortion can be non-religious, but not stem cells or not gay rights. religious dogmas hinder progress and oppress people.

if you dont want to keep going thats fine with me. i can understand how my questions might make you uncomfortable thinking about your faith. i just like to know that my beliefs are actually true and i can prove it, others dont care about that.

but there is supporting evidence. biology, paleontology, anthropology and DNA are just a few that support it.
religion has NOTHING but holy books and wishful thinking.
*if you have some scientific data about god thats not in the bible, ill be happy to read it

I will have to admit, i can't give you a reason other than the bible.
I would have to say that i do because the apostles and the Disciples died for a man,(God) would you spend you life as a martre for something you didn't believe was true?
There is not evidence of man before 4,000 bc.
Also darwin rejected his THEORY, and said if the artifacts (not the word i was looking for)don't spport it that you can reject the whole thing, and there is less proof now than ever.

dont make stuff up to make a point. the prehistoric caves at lascaux in france have paintings dated to 15,000 years ago.

just because they thought it was true doesnt mean it really was. people have killed themselves for passing comets or personal honor. the branch davidians died for david koresh, they truly thought he was the final prophet.

no he didnt. darwin just documented his observations, he never said he was wrong, and did not believe he was wrong.

by less proof than ever i meant that, there was more proof for evolution way back then for evolution, with less artifacts, we have more now and less proof for evolution.
but like i said in my other replies, im not very knowledgeable, there are things i need to study. as i am only fifteen. i plan on looking things up that you pointed out.
