  • This review was really helpful. Thank you.

  • I'd never seen a champagne review before this one. Very informative. I've done beer reviews and watched others do theirs, but I wanted to get an idea of how men review things like wine and champagne to see if I could improve any reviews of beer I might do in future. I notice that you suck air with each sip. How can I expect this to change my taste sensation of beer, if at all?

  • Drawing air in forces the wine to cover the palate, and also sends aromas up into the nasal receptors, so is a good way to maximise the sensation of a wine when you are trying to assess it. I am not sure that beer tasters do the same, but I guess it would work for all liquids you taste.
