  • How does any1 ever survive being shot with that? the hydrolic shock alone would killed your ass lol

  • Holy shit

  • i liked the part when the bullet hit the gel

  • Holy shit that was a giant cavity. I've only heard good things about these bullets and will be using them this coming season! Thanks Barnes!

  • Ahhh. Not sure of too many .308 rounds that wouldn't penetrate 16" of gelatin...seriously. .308 is going to pass thru just about everytime if fired into a 2 legged predator. It appears this round expanded VERY well and made a massive temp cavity. THAT is the characteristic of a good defensive round...if it doesn't fragment also...which few .308s do...cheers

  • watch the ttsx video the barnes bullet transfer 99% of its energy to the target when it exits its not gonna hurt anything

  • This appears to be a bad round for self-defense as it traveled right through the gelatin.

  • Im jusr waiting for it to rip apart :( big disappointment

  • Seriously are you that retarded

  • i didn't know jello spits out bullets

  • if u press pause and play really fast, u can make it go even slower!

  • killed my first deer with this bullet, but it was out of a .243 95 grains with 46 grains of 4831. about 3000 fps. the bullet passed through the aorta and other vital organs and shredded the inside of the deer. X bullets are the shit!!!!

  • @shaneclark121 eat shit dick sucker

  • ballistics gel ???

  • @scassidy100 no jello

  • hunting ammo as such has been banned by the Geneva/Hague Convention for use in war or for use by military personnel

ashame isnt it? these rounds would devastate our enemys much more then a full metal jacket... and since an m16/m4/scar dont have enough muzzle velocity to fragment on impact everytime... this kind of ammo in the video IS made in 5.56... can u imagine our m16/m4/scars more lethal again?

  • Into jello! Lmao

  • WTF is tripple shot thats a hollow point

  • @money4u5 Special design, 100% copper, 3 petals, know your stuff before you drop a wtf.

  • @1138thz its a fucking hollow point bullet this is a reposted vid

  • @money4u5 Barnes X bullet does have a hollow tip. but the bullet is solid brass, so on impact the bullet unfolds, kinda like a broad head and increases the bullet's diameter. but it does not fragment like a true hollow point

  • @shaneclark121 copper, not brass

  • how amazing u cud c the deformed round going thru and comming out KEWL!!!!

  • aaaaaannnnnnd... your dead.

  • i wanna see one of them go threw a racoon!! think it would do wut it did to the jell and pop the coon like a water ballon?

  • super cool vid! what fps was this recorded at?

  • i octopus lolwut hamburger pls

  • That looks... Tasty!

  • I noticed it completely penetrated the ballistic gel. Many round will not do this.

  • .50 bmg is better. .chuck norris bmg is so awesome it cant exist

  • look at where the bullet is coming out from! its looks like... uhm well you know...

  • @TerroRambo HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • swirly............

  • *wipes tear*

    its.. so .. beautiful.

  • The bullet at the end looks like a mushroom.

  • Damn, that would cause massive damage. Some of the high tech bullets coming out are gettin too damn scary!

  • Wound channel is ridiculous

  • The ballistics jelly looks squishy =3

  • @Stingwraith

     J-E-L-L--*OW*!

  • @Stingwraith It is

  • nnnnnnnnnnot today gelatin!!

  • Omfg.

  • you can see the bullet spins

  • @Danbotology

    its true!

  • thats some spiral ......

  • AWESOME

  • i like these bullets. bone crushing.

  • looks like a genital when you pause it at 6 lololol

  • its called deadli dick.

  • @hercules74000 lol ur sick, but i like it!

  • @hercules74000 hahaha

  • @hercules74000 you sir have some weird genitals

  • @hercules74000 at 5 seconds u see a cumshot :D

  • @hercules74000 you should get yourself checked out make sure everything is ok with you balls

  • @hercules74000 lmao bustin a nut lmao

  • Looks identical to the hollow point video. Not sure if it is the same thing, but it def is the same video

  • Its like the matrix bullet time, but in real life

  • gelatin is weak, my $10 chinese ripoff airsoft can puncture that, mabye :D

  • Pause at 0:06

    It's a guinea pig!

  • look at the after shock on the right aswell it looks like a bellend!

  • Lol

  • i think you need 2 see a doctor

  • lol

  • I sense some frame interpolation that needs to be done.2907 fps is fast, but they made it choppy.

  • Lol if that was a real human i bet he would explode from the inside! ^^

  • thats a hollow point bullet. Full metal jackets wouldn't make the gel move that much.

  • your wrong

  • you can see the spin of the bullet in the jello how cool

  • Amazing

  • Wow the bullet spinning made the gel spin in the same manner. High speed cameras are the shit!

  • @GibsonGuitarist666 exactly. the rifling of the gun was pretty much magnified.

  • Chuck Norris doesn't need a high speed camera to be able to see this......

  • Holy Shit, that's amazing! Not the video, no, no, no. It's all these ballistic and anatomy experts whose knowledge has been overlooked by the Pentagon, but they still can share their expertise by leaving comments here. Thank you for your invaluable service. You are making a difference in America. Yeah!

  • Everyone lives in America!

  • Comment removed

  • amazing how the bullet spin made that gel stuff look like that

  • If that was someone's heart or brain, they'd be history.

  • imagine that going through ur body

  • Why would you imagine such a thing?

Imagine instead how tasty the Deer will be. :^)

  • oh i love it when you talk dirty

  • i love how you can see the bullet's spiral and how it effects the

gelatin, thats a first for me in these types of videos. And if this is ballistics gel then i wonder if the spiral has any minute effects on the body.

  • "minute effects on the body"? didn't you see the thing just screw its way through a block of ballistics gel? There was nothing "minute" about what happened to it, or what would happened if that hit a living creature.

  • it would probably have extreame tearing effects on the organs if any were in its wake

  • Liver will often tear. Other organs often bruise, but unless significantly penetrated, will have no significant blood loss. Nerve tissue can have shocky effects (tickle your funny bone to understand what happens when you stretch nerve tissue.)

  • interesting i would have thoucht that the opening and sprial would have extreame effects any where and would result in major blood loss any where.

  • By "any where" I presume you mean anywhere it touches. The famous black talon (Winchester product) had blades from the jacket that stuck out and sliced, doing a great deal of damage with little energy. Stretching the flexible flesh past a blade led to a significant increase in the permanent cavity. Black Talon was withdrawn, and replaced with "Ranger SXT" which has similar performance without the scary black coating SXT stands for "Same Exact Thing".

  • i see and yes i meant any where it touches

  • Minute? Lol, that's why heads pop when they get shot dude.

  • use your imagination. imagine the bullet hitting bone. it will ricochet and do ridiculous amounts of additional damage. or if it clears bone, it will absolutely tear organs up and twist them. ouch.

  • Generally bullets will penetrate bone, but will deflect upon doing so. organs are usually flexible.

  • Generally body tissues are flexible (except bones) The permanent cavity is the most reliable measure of effectiveness.

  • i thought bones were somewht flexible

  • Heck Steel is "somewhat flexible". There is a couple of orders of magnitude differences in flexibility between bones and soft tissue.

  • OOOUUUUCCCHHHH!

  • 2907 fps!! wouaou and the bullet was still so quick

  • That was crazy! I thought it was going to be like a block of ice or something, but this was WAY better!

  • that's not ballistic gel that's jello......lmao...rofl....

  • ugh youtube raped the fps

  • that shit looks like the matrix lol

  • hard

  • Thats insane

  • Wow I have to try that sometime

  • Holy cavitation batman!

  • thats a nasty round!!

  • damn imagine talons like the winchester ranger being on this thing, the gel would shred

  • tango down! lol

  • The best ammo for home defense is a slow, lumbering round like a .45 hollow point at 800-1,200 fps depending on whether or not it's +P. Less chance to go through a wall but hits like a softball. Stay away from high power rifles for home defense if you have neighbors. #4 Buck is also a good choice as birdshot can be ineffective with thick clothing.

  • Agree with you there mate. People go for the higher powered stuff and forget there can be loved ones in the house with hi power rounds going around. Only problem here in Australia is the fucking crims have more of a right than the home owners do.

  • tango down

  • um your dead?

  • damn. kept on truckin all the way through

  • u can C the bullet spinning in the spyral in the jel

  • learn how to spell

  • what is the bullet traveling through?

  • ballistic gelatin

  • probably ballistics gel

  • does anybody have an opinion on a good fragmenting .223 round for HOME DEFENSE? I need bullets that stop. The walls of my entire neighborhood are VERY thin and i cant afford to have bullets leaving my house and flying all over the place. I have a shotgun full of bird-shot(got to be better than mace) because even buckshot makes me very nervous. Please reply as i wont watch this videos comments.

  • Try Xtreme Shock or Glaser.

  • If buckshot makes you nervous, why choose a .223 for home defense?? It would me much better to have a shotgun or pistol with JHP's than a .223.

  • anything with stopping power out of a pistol or shotgun would go right through my walls. would a .223 varmint grenade go through even ONE piece of drywall and kill ANYTHING more than a foot past the wall? I dont have and cant afford a pistol. the AR is a gift and my shotgun would rip through the exterior walls of my house and waste somebody on the other side. cars dont stand much of a chance against a shotgun. i have seen that and their tuffer than my house.

  • Personally, I would trade the AR for a .45 pistol like a good 1911, Glock 21/30 or SigSauer P220. A 230gr JHP .45 is a slow moving round and is less likely to penetrate a perp and targets beyond whereas a .223 will penetrate since it's a FMJ round.

  • You're a moron. FAST AND LIGHT=Low Penetration.

SLOW AND HEAVY=Massive penetration. The .223 doesn't over-penetrate at all, especially with bullets like the V-Max. In fact, it's a rather shallow wound.

  • Whatever dude. Obviously you're not taking clothing into account with your "professional" opinion.

  • Another option is a pistol chambered in .380, .38+P or 9mm loaded with Hornady's new Critical Defense Ammunition. Check out Hornady's website. They really did their homework on this round and it's very impressive. As a matter of fact, with the prices of AR's going through the roof, you could sell it and pick up two, maybe three great guns.

  • yha take the shat up your ass and stick it in your gun and then shoot at your face u retard u cocokfag sucher

  • what

  • EXPLOSIVE RESULTS! I could definitly see that ripping through a criminal's torso!

  • Amazing how clearly you can see the effects of the bullet's spin.

  • pretty

  • thats cool, the bullet is still deforming even after it exits the block...

  • holy shit that was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't see how a 308 caliber rifle was pushing a 180 grain round at 2907fps...heh the 30-06 pushs 180 grain rounds in the 2800 range with premium high quality ammo. (has more case capacity)

  • I'm going to think that the 308 description was referring to the bullet size and not the cartridge.

  • The reason for the .308's existance was the improvement in propellants. It was designed to have 30-06 performance in a smaller package. With the proper loading a .308 will produce the same results as the same bullet fired from a 30-06 casing.

  • And what if the same technique used in the .308 is used in the 30-06?

  • Possibly the power of a .300 Win Mag, I guess.

  • It was most likely some .300 Magnum that was shot from a distance which slowed the bullet down to 2907 fps when it impacted the block. And yes the .300 Magnums bullets are .308 in diameter just like the 30-06.

  • ive used this ammo for hunting. it is great. the design is perfect and the expansion of the round is controled by three slits in the neck of the bullet.

  • It looks like a railgun shot!

    Amazing, well done!

  • I make 6 by 6 by 12 inch long gel. Remington gold sabers 165grn 40 S&W produce the best wound channel of all. Better than 125grn 357 JHP. If you cant find gel..soak 8 or 9 phone books in the tub overnight. Duct tape them before you soak.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

  • Wow, that looks freakin awesome!

  • ok thats just cool, you can see the rifling!

  • I've never seen the gell swirl like that...... wow....

  • I love the swirls from the rifling grooves on the round..simply awesome!! At least I think that's what causes it!?

  • its probably the bullet deformation and the bullet spin making the swirls...

  • Exactly, it's spinning from the rifling...I've recovered bullets that have grooves (small) that were created from the rifling...geesh...anyone else disagree?

  • The swirls are from the exspanded bullet peddles of the bullet on it spinning rotaion .

These peddles cause even more damage and trama as the bullet rotates from the twist of the rifling in the barrel as the bullet passed through the barrel .

  • Imagine if dat was yo head yo!!!!

  • i dont think you would be able to if that was your head lol

  • impressive expansion and weight retention. Over penetrated a LOT. Even the FBI won't accept more than 14in penetration, and they allow deeper penetration than any other agency. Generally accepted penetration is between 10 to 12 inches for defensive rounds. That thing had what, 20in?

  • Damn...

  • Looks like it retained all of its original weight post penetration

  • Thats gonna leave a bruise!

  • NO SURVIVING THAT ONE.

  • i like the way u can see the rigdes of the bullet from were its turning in that jello shit

  • cool

  • plz make a get a vid or this shooting something solid... say, a 2 foot brick wall?

  • omg the tip of the bullet was flat at the end

  • Its a hollow point. When it hits an object, it expands at the tip as well as the material its penetrating.

  • i was about to say exactly what Love1968 said, you can clearly see the effect of the rifling on the bullet as it spins through the balisticks gel

  • 300 mag

  • ouch that hurt

  • Supersonic bullet, meaning the cavern in the gelatin is a vacuum. This causes even more tissue damage in living targets, and sucks in contaminants from outside. Nasty.

  • very cool vid! you can clearly see the effect that rifling has on the bullet as it spins through the gel - shweeet!

  • getting hit by that... your dead!

  • damn.............

  • Cool vid, but I wanted to see the gelatin reform!

  • wtf im really impressed
