That woman has got to be one of the stupidest people I have ever heard. David Frei was terrific as always,and he dealt very well with her. She made "Best in Show" look like a brilliant documentary compared to her own inane and derogatory verbage. Uno, a "puppy making machine?" What an insult! "Put her shelter dog up against Uno any day?" In regards to what? Health? What does she know??For the rest of you who insult the professional breeder,do your due diligence and get off the idiot bandwagon.
Instead of believing what the radical Animal Rights people tell you (so they can get more money from you), do some research and you'll learn that early spay/neuter does indeed cause numerous health, behavior and structural problems. Wake up, Joe Blow -- you're being taken for a ride by the AR groups and once they stamp out all of the good breeders, guess what? They're coming to "liberate" your pets from your "tyrany."
@tzulady29 I think that spaying/neutering your dog is very good thing...maybe your dog suffer a little...But think that he/she is not going to have babies and they are not going to get thrown on the streets!! In our country we have a lot of street dogs and it breaks my heart thinking they are suffering of hunger and they get beaten by bad people.
Who is that ignorant guy saying that spaying and neutering can cause behavioral and health problems? that is just plain ridiculous!
Look at the dog UNO, he barks and the handler cannot control him without treats...hmmmm, there is something wrong with this picture. Maybe if they get him neutered he'll behave better...
I have spent over 15 years with my local Beagle rescue and we are already seeing the influx of unwanted beagles because they are not Uno! If you are going to spend $500 for a show beagle, fine! But if you just want a nice dog, go to a rescue group!Some have problems, some don't. I don't think my beagles were hurt by neutering them. And you won't get a rescue dog to breed. We ALL ask for them to be fixed to avoid unwanted puppies. I love all the dogs I've fostered, they need forever homes.
This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Millions have animals ahve to be euthanized each year people of 2 MAJOR problems:
1) Beeders who bring new, unwanted animals into the world.
2) People who are to damn lazy to get their animal spayed/neutered.
This "harm" that the legislation would cause would be to only these massive companies that profit form making money off of animals as baby making factories.
Beagles are great dogs,but Uno proved he one of the greatest of the breed
