Mr. Gary is a hacker , criminal etc - all are true . But US computer engineer should gather knowledge from him - how to keep their computers secured from next generation hackers.
To sacha(gub-ment tube agent #1 billion and whatever) if it should fail, where will you be? What do you stand to gain, and mostly, who would care? The veil is lifted, apocalypse follows. One can only wonder how much information and what kind of information all the other hackers of the world may have scarfed up before Gary made it painfully obvious that some secret project spooks were not well qualified for maintaining basic security and therefore, far less for the a so called responsibility over human life.
Gary committed a crime of hacking (noted that it was for UFO info) but anyone ranting for a death or 60 sentence, given the details on this case, is acting guilty of worse.
you know -we make films about , E.T ,star wars, close encounters ,war of the worlds , films about a young boy who hacks a pc called war games , 1000s of alien films are made , what should we expect that a man wants to find out about these things
thewrecker36, thank you for your kind and well thought comment. You can believe it or not, but Google for the term «Gary Mc Kinnon Electric Chair». You will be amazed, how near this guy faces a sentence, that allowed to send a chair its irresistible 2000 Volt message to his body. Since I look into this case, I'd advocate the new slogan:
Why do you want the US to execute Mckinnon so badly? Every Mckinnon vid I've seen has been littered with "FRY GARY! ;-))". I've yet to find any info on Gary messing with USAF emergency centers or whatever (apart from in your comments; if there's evidence throw me a link) and him damaging 700k worth of damage to their computers? Bollocks. He did what any of us would do if we had access to such information. I don't usually rant or mean to offend, but I believe your comments stem from ignorance.
BrianDurex, before you lick toes of McKinnon, I'd go to an accredited lawyer. He can get the latest court documents from Strasbourg for you. Such papers are not in the internet. Then you will see, the accusations are indeed justified. Google for 'Gary Mc Kinnon Electric chair' and you will see, I'm far not alone with my urge. If you want to become a UFO-hero yourself, feel free to enter into the Groom Lake Site and ignore orders of cammo dudes. You will be shot dead. Is that your goal?
I'm not sure I understand your logic mate. Have you, yourself been to a hot-shot lawyer to gather this information? I'd like to ask you a question, do you think Mckinnon found information regarding 'free energy' technology? If so, why are they keeping it hidden? I read one of your comments in another vid, you say "it could be dangerous", so why don't they share the technology to find the kinks and help make it work??? And I guarantee you that significantly more people want to see him released.
BrianDurex, we did it, since I work for a scientific institution of my country, that deals with knowledge, we can not realease yet to the public. Not because dark powers suppressed something, but, because technology around so called multidimensional quantum physics is so mindbogglingly powerful and bears such an incredible potential of abuse, nuclear non-proliferation became a farce beside these things. So I can tell you, McKinnon is simply a liar, who was misled by Greers 'Disclosure' ...
...(ff) Project and became so obsessed, he went to all lenghts to grab proofs. In fact, he found nothing, since he never entered into the secured DARPA-net - but did a huge damage in (low security) govt'l administration LANs when he installed terminal-server-software and compromized system security. Since the guy is intelligent enough to see, people believe 100% in conspiracytainment publishing and trust 0% in their govts, he came forward with the ET/free-energy-nonsense as an excuse.
Ok, I can see where your coming from here. But why would the most secretive organisations all have low security LAN's connected to the internet with windows installed and blank passwords? Plain stupidity/complacency/laziness? And how would the software he used available to any of us, damage these windows computers to cause 700k damage (when people should be monitoring them)? Why are the American 'authorities' letting Mckinnon's story go unanswered? Usually the logical thing to do would be to..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
BrianDurex, McKinnons statements regarding blank passwords are grossly misleading: He exploited a NT/W2K-vulnearability in the NT-Domain environment, where a DC-policy (Domain Controller) SHOULD prevent local logins - but did in fact not when both DCs (PDC and BDC) were disabled in the same time(what he did). He used a ordinary Windows-PPP server-dialup connection to intrude into the LAN using Microsoft's RDP protocol. Yes, even most secretive agencies have low security areas: E.g. accounting.
.. show how much of a tyrant he is. Why isn't the information being made public? No one knows why, apart from people with this info he's getting such a sentence when over here he would have done maybe a year in prison, or community service. As far as everyone out of the loop is concerned the punishment doesn't it the crime. And can I ask which institution you work at? x)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
..(ff) The main problem with compromized systems is, admin has no longer the certainity, TS-backdoors wouldn't be used by 3rd parties too to install further malware. Hence you have to set up complety ALL PCs and server from the scratch. Not a cheap work - particularly, when the intruder is not cooperative. Mc Kinnon was even offered a plea bargain. He refused. Since lies are not punishable, no agency ever will comment crackpot accusations, unless ex employees start to tell lies [e.g. Mitchell)
BrianDurex, once again, obtain Sttrassbourg court papers - and you can read all these things yourself. I work for a state university in my country. Although it's not a secret I won't tell about on YT, since I regularly offend our people-fooling shocking-secret UFO-free-energy-conspiracainment industry, heavily represented here on YT. And these people are not bound to laws and can (re)act in a rather evil manner. Not my intention to jeopardize my job just for some sociopolitical work on YT. ;-))
The US military is stupid, they should fire their irresponsible employees and then arrest and prosecute them. US taxpayers pay billions of $ for our defense and it is this vulnerable? What's next, a 16-year old hacking a missile silo computer and launching an ICBM?
hmmm.. the US pays so much for the computer systems and then the morons that work on em leave em wide open. if he could get into 97 computers what does that say about US computer security. u know the Chinese and Russians must be in them every day if this guy got in.

The whole McKinnon story is nothing else than a huge lie. The guy did an expensive crime when he intruded into US govt computers (just for curiousity!) and compromized system security by installing terminal server software. However, the UFO excuse is nothing else than a huge, fat lie, since EVERY available tribunal in EU and UK came to the same conclusion. For these people-fooling and life endagering lies, I'd see McKinnon fry like this guy:
you're obviously from the US military - are you one of those embarassed guys who didn't secure the system in the first place? sloppy, sloppy work... LOL :-))))
NadezhdaRozagy1, I'm not from US military. I'm simply enraged about the fact, an ordinary criminal, that put human lives in danger [when he wanton disabled USAF emergency centers] - just for misled curiousity - start to tell lies about ETs in US govt, and all UFO/conspiracy-enthusiasts immediatly lick his toes und call him a hero.
Intrusion and backdoor-SW-installation is a crime. No matter how good or bad a system is secured. With a 60 years sentence, I could live. To fry were better.
@sacha4you Why are you so against a guy who didn't rape/ a child, murder someone, etc etc? You wanna fry a guy who "hacked" a god damn usless fuckin government mainframe and is sayin stuff about UFO's/Alien/Technology? That deserves a frying? Why? You mean because he revealed the world's/goverments biggest lie? yeah, if I were them I'd wanna fry him too...Not for just some useless "hacking" and shit

VancouverCanucksRock, McKinnon committed a horrendous crime when he put human lives in clear and present danger, since he disabled govt'l network segments (even emergency rescue services went offline) - just to satisfy his selfish and misguided curiousity. Fact is, the law forsees an adequate punishment. That's either a death- or a life sentence in US. Of course, you can follow him on the death-row, when you endorse that criminal guy so much. So we could enjoy twice the sizzling sound.
@sacha4you Yes, actually I do endorse that(if that is true). 'Cause I, and billions of other human beings deserve to know the truth. At least when and if he put lives at risk, it was for the better of humanity, unlike; the entity's ass you like kissing, lies just to make more money and keep their secrets.
VancouverCanucksRock, firstly, you shouldn't forget for a second, your govt governs you - and not vice versa. They have trained people that have the oversight about mindbogglingly dangerous things, humanity in its wholeness is far not ready to handle such knowledge and its implications. Hence, govts DO prevent inappropriate business. If you thought, you could deal with non-public topics - feel free to acquire a an academic background and a suitable security clearance and apply for a job.
timetraveler2006, I agree, that IT admins who don't care about blank passwords in their systems are not near as smart as they think.
However the fact, McKinnon entered into such half-open systems support the findings of European tribunals: McKinnon couldn't intrude into classified computers, but got stuck in administrative departments. Possibly he was frustrated and started vandalism actions, what caused a huge damage (beside of compromising security by installing TS-software)
i no it shouldnt but i laughed my arse off when he said he even left them messages on the pcs telling them how shit their security was.louisevale ur spot on with everything u say my friend well said on all counts
he is same as the bad guy in die hard 4.0 who i thought was competly right in the film.
and if there not carefull it will keep going on like die hard 4.0 he or other hackers willget pissed off and will actualy start to damage things so that they up security.
This sort of crime may happen once a day, few times a year but the question is "how many are successfuly?" another question; How many more hackers out there that have successfully breached the security systems, have been (secretly) caught and jailed? What about the ones that don't get caught, and are terrorists?
I totally agree with you louisevale, that comment made me laugh very hard.
They claim they care about other people, they claim that they do what they do (like the wars in the middle east) for freedom and democracy, and they claim they know nothing about UFO's and they are not interested.
But all you have to do is prod them in the right place (or do a bit of background research) and their lies come crashing down, then you see the full uglyness and evilness of the wolf that is walking around in sheep's clothing.
In mean, our lords and master's (well actually they are elected to serve the people)the government has the sole and only rights to what's really true don't they.
