I had my loan modified with GMAC 2 years ago but they did not modify it to bring it down to reach the 31% DTI ratio. They also told us we had to set up an escrow account and the payments would all be included in the new payment. This was not true! They did lower it by $380, that's it! Now we have to come up with the taxes and insurance. Chase modified our loan without even contacting them so that was cool! Chase was our rental home.
