  • God bless this mans soul!

  • i did this my junior year in high school... and i have to take "intermediate" algebra in college i guess? this is gonna be a breeze..

  • what do you think is the purpose of algebra for our future?

  • I got (3x-12)(x+2) Is that right also?

  • @Obamanation154 - Nope. Expanding the solution you had would result in 3x²+6x-12x-24 = 3x²-6x-24. This is NOT the same as the problem given above. However (3x+12)(x-2) would also be correct, since the (3x+12) is the same as 3(x+4).

  • math is the type of subject that can only be understood with the proper method of teaching... some teachers THINK that what they're thinking, the students are thinking too. You need to kind of step out of your own mind set and pretend youre starting from a clean slate. How would you explain something CLEARLY from a to z? I don't mean to insult someone but some teachers are inconsiderate. He didn't explain how he came up with 3 and why he chose 3...

  • @MissDJ - I agree with your sentiments. To explain the 3 above, the instructor was looking for the highest common factor between the numbers 3, 6, and 24 (3 is the largest number that can be divided into these three numbers without leaving a remainder).

  • NOT SO IMPRESSIVE CLASS

  • ok, now am more confused than ever before

  • If you want to become good at Math go to my YouTube channel: (Mathmatchpoint). In my videos I’m going to teach you Math the “EASY WAY”. I'll teach you all Math topics; from the elementary to advanced topics... Just click on Playlists when you are on my channel and you’ll be able to watch my Math videos in order. I promise that I’m going to teach you Math the easy way.

Math is easy if you have a good teacher.

  • 8th grade stuff, too easy

  • @WushuKnight19 this was 4th grade work for me :)

  • This shit is too simple, but you people don't listen very well because YOU HAVE HEARING PROBLEMS!!!

  • What about using the resolvent formula? Don't you learn that in America??

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know how he got the 4 and -2.

Most math teachers are horrible in explaining things.

  • @okkim1012 4-2=2 and 4*2=10

  • @okkim1012 Oops. 4-2=2 and 4*-2=10

  • I had to this stuff when I was 13.... The horror in Asian Education

  • @LaLaLoveBunny So did I, but apparently people in America can't remember crap....

  • Why are they teaching math from the 10th grade???

  • Those problems are simple. Love them. I remember a problem where it had 4 rows of numbers virtically and horrizontally and had to make it to become from top to bottom (row 1- [1,0,0,0]) (row 2- [0,1,0,0]) (row 3- [0,0,1,0]) (row 4- [0,0,0,1]) I forget how to do them but I remember that those equasions were one of my favorites, I though they were pretty fun.

To me math is nothing but a puzzle game. Math for me is easy, I just need the formula and how the formula works

  • The fuck? Did he not just complicate an expression?

  • Okay guys..to those that don't understand Algebra, I know you already know this, but if you don't understand this at this point in life..you won't ever understand it. Only those with great understanding of Math will understand the harder more specific types of math such as Calculus and Trig. , or Spherical Geometry. I'm one of those lucky students..I have a 98% in AP Algebra II and I'm a 9th grader.

    Bonne Chance!

  • I'm happy that I only need College Algebra to get into the Radiology Program at Austin Community College....

  • tht was stupid its even mre confusing thn i strtd off wit ..

  • omfg!! what kind of explanation is that??? doesn't make sense at all.........

  • HAHAA... i didnt get anything!

  • Your teacher . com is not that helpful. They don't tell you HOW to get the answer.

  • I got a question, I'm getting ready for college and I need to take Intermediate Alegebra and everyone thinks I need to take Intro to Alegebra, should I? Or should I just go all out and take intermediate? Is it that much harder?

  • ok, this doesn't make sense!!

  • Algebra just doesn't make sense to a lot of us. Just go with what ur taught & STUDY like crazy. Here FACTORING out the largest nbr that will divide into all, 3. Factor next using FOIL (ignore 3 for this you'll pull it back in the last part) FOIL, First Inner Outer Last, i.e. multiply your first number through i.e. FIRST x(x)=x sqrd; x(-2)=-2x; INNER 4(x)=4x; OUTER 4(-2)=-8. U get x sqrd-2x+4x-8= x sqrd+2x-8 times the 3 u factored out at first & ur back where u started. GOOD LUCK!

  • @Gnuso77 now that i got to college i really realize that you cant just go along with what you're taught, you have to really understand whats going on or you'll have to repeat the course all over like i have to do.

  • i just gott a B+ in algebra but I still have trouble.

  • Actually he's pretty good.

If your having a hard time understanding Intermediate Algebra, I feel bad for those of you who enter college algebra, " i just finished a semester of college ALg, and it wasnt easy, "!!!

  • he doesnt explain it enough

  • idk

  • but how did that 3(x+4)(x-2) came?

  • Yeah that is what I'm stuck on. I think he took 2 a factor of 2 and -8 and times pos2 to pos2 then neg8 with neg2. What you do to one side you do to the other, but I think it was suppose to be a neg8 with neg2 which would be neg16, but IDK I'm just learning this for the first time

  • thx dude

  • He didn't explained that well
