That is the purpose exactly. If you see the DVD of the entire concert, just before this, Jamie says that "Geoff wrote a Beach Boys song in the style of a Beatles song." Good ear, mate.
The funny thing is that this sounds exactlly as Elvis Costello´s version of God only knows, why can´t this "singer" do his own version? Bad shit i say!
