  • Goooooooood match.

  • Which Wilson model racket is Fed using in this match?

  • @jtatsiue wilson n-code six-one tour 90

  • @tangjkd The paint job of a N-Code Six-One Tour 90. You have to remember that Federer racquets are made from a modified Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 85 mold to include the tapered flanges of the PS Tour 90 on the throat, a 90 sq.in. head, and the slight modifications to the PWS shape in order to make it look like a Tour 90. Also, he's using 80% Graphite and 20% Kevlar like the original PS, nothing changed. Since he changed his PS 85, he's been using the modified 6.0. He still uses this modified PS 6.0

  • @Edu2503 Not this again - THEY DO CHANGE RACKETS. You can clearly see the difference from the K Factor he used from 2006-2009 and the BLX he has used the past two years. For starters, the head size is different and the shape of the racket is different as well.

  • @3timeMVPNash I have seen close-up photos of Federer's "BLX" racquet, and it has the same shape and head size. You should really get your facts straight before getting so angry with my comment.

  • @Edu2503 Ok yeah, he has used the same headsize and such for the majority of his career, but that doesn't mean he has never changed rackets. I'm just sick of this argument than pros never change rackets. They wouldn't advertise new rackets as ones that pros use if they weren't actually using them - that's highly immoral. What is so hard to understand about a pro using different models over the course of their careers?

  • @3timeMVPNash I didn't say he NEVER changed. Of course he changed racquets. The last time he changed, was when he got the modified PS 6.0 85, and he hasn't changed since then. Besides, the idea of player advertasing new racquets (even if said player doesn't use the new racquet) belongs to the brand (Wilson, Head, Babolat, etc.) You have to remember that is the confort of the player is more important to his game, and they can't change racquets every year! They usually change strings

  • @Edu2503 So you're saying that he didn't change rackets after 2009 when he got the BLX? They can't advertise Federer using the BLX if he isn't actually using it, that's false advertising. Fed's last few rackets have all been similar obviously, but still different enough to be new models. He hasn't used the exact same racket since 2004 though, and that I'm almost positive.

  • @3timeMVPNash He might use racquets from the same mold, but with added BLX technology in them. That's the most plausible conclusion I can come up with. The shape of his racquets has been the same since 2004, so he couldn't have changed much.

  • @Edu2503 Well yeah, it's like new models of cars each year. The overall design is the same, but the technology is different.

  • @3timeMVPNash I am glad that our argument is over. If Mr. Federer changed racquets, we do not know. We can only guess.

  • @Edu2503 All I'm saying is that Wilson wouldn't falsely advertise Federer using a racquet that he isn't using.

  • @3timeMVPNash Let's say this: He is advertising the technology in his racquets (BLX), but the exact model he uses is not for sale.

  • @Edu2503 What do you mean "the exact model he uses is not for sale?" He uses (well, used, since he's getting a new one at the start of 2012) the BLX and has for the past two years. The specs are obviously customized to his liking but the model is the same.

  • @3timeMVPNash Not only the specs are customized. I told you that his raquets are made out of a different mold (Modified Pro Staff 6.0 85). The models on sale are not made out of this this mold. That's the difference. PERIOD.

  • @Edu2503 How do you know that his racquets are made from a different mold?

  • @3timeMVPNash h t t p : / / tt .tennis-warehouse . c o m / archive / index . p h p /t-6683 . h t m l

  • @Edu2503 Yes, an "unidentified source" and a seven year-old thread. Who knows what Roger has done since then?

  • @3timeMVPNash I checked out his official website. It says that he uses a modified 6.0 Tour with BLX technology, with head shape of the PS 6.0 85 (90 square inches hitting area). Weights 12.5 ounces and has a thin beam of 18 millimiters. Grip size: 4 3/8 inches (L3). Strings: 21.5kg mains/20kg crosses pre stretched 20%, Wilson Natural Gut 16 gauge (cross) and Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power Rough 16L gauge polyester (main). Tension depending on surface, weather, balls, opponent, etc.

  • @Edu2503 I have no doubt that every racket Fed has had has been customized to his exact liking - every pro has specific adjustments that they make to their rackets. The Six.One Tour BLX he has had since the start of 2010 could easily be customized to the way he has used previous rackets.

  • awesome video

  • I love it when a more obscure player gives one of the top players a run for their money.

  • Videos over the 15 minute mark (somewhere between 10-15 minutes; more likely based on memory than length) are not allowed unless you're a YouTube partner. Once a YouTube partner, you pretty much have no limit to how big the video is as far as I can tell.

  • @unowen727 lol the longest i've seen is a 2 and a half hour vid. people with accounts before 2007 have no limit to their uploads. post 2007 however is like 10 or 15 minutes....can't remember.

  • @unowen727 I also wonder how to upload several hours long videos. Hasent worked for me

  • AWESOME...Wish some more videos like this...thanks :)
