This movie, though extremely corny, is extremely awesome! Thank God for Netflix, lol. Nathaniel is sooooooo uber hot and amazing. Seriously, wow. This movie's very good. Watch it if you can! Though I do warn you that Shakespeare is heavily emphasized in this film, lolz. But yeah, it's really awesome.

I was surfing the Web, and I noticed that there are two covers for this DVD: one gay with the two male leads on it and one less gay with just a face and a flower.

TLA Video on-line has the DVD with the gay cover with both Tanner Cohen and Nathaniel David Becker on it.

It's an off-broadway musical about two agy students in a catholic private school and several other students and it's basically a giant musical pot of drama and witty jokes. It was taken off of youtube, but I'm sure it's playing somewhere, and it's a good show. I highly recommend seeing it if you get the chance

You know Shakespeare was considered less than dirt when he was alive and writing his plays. They(the powers that be) thought his plays were keeping with common folk, raunchy, and very bowdy. people probably thought the original writer of Romeus and Juliet were rolling in their graves after Shakespeare presented Romeo & Juliet.

I think this movie is in keeping with what Shakespeare was all about. but thats just me.

Not true, Shakespeare wrote for the kings players, the kings own royal troupe. Queen Elizabeth was a fan, but aspects of his work appealed to the poor folk, and that's where the Powers-that-were had a problem with him. His work was enjoyed by all because they were about basic human traits and everyday situations, like family fights and lost siblings, unrequited love, and the unknown circumstances that seemed magical.

Not only that, Timothy becomes frustrated when his lover begins acting like a stereotypical gay man, audibly expressing he wished he would stop acting that way and "be like you were before". It brings a critical angle to the stereotyping of homosexuals as feminine you clearly missed.

And by the way 'feminine' males are not 'feminine'... it's just a different type of masculinity.

There hasn't been any talk of releasing it for any big stores, so as far as I know right now you can only watch it online. If you don't have any card, go out and buy one of those gift-card Visas at stores like Wal-Mart or whatever that have a section for gift cards. It's almost like having a temporary debit card.

Just saw this film. I think Tanner Cohen has a great voice and is not a bad actor either. The school reminded me of my all boys high school.

shakespeare was a genius, look at these lyrics "i will follow thee and make a heaven out of hell." "Oh! Why rebuke you him that loves you so? Lay breath so bitter on your bitter foe" (a poetic way of saying "why be rude to him that loves you? save it for your enemies") and "I will sing, that they shall hear I am not afraid." these lyrics really resonate with the audience can't wait to see it for the first time on dvd
