Pits are generally 800 to 1000 tons, we most always get them out the day we start them. Company has downsized in the 14 years I've been here, had over 100 trucks when I started, got 35 now. I have seen days we'd move 10,000 tons to the river dock but not any more.

I think that was #4 middle bottom, about 2 feet or so thick. We're in some 4 foot or better now, a year later.

butchbm39 3 years ago
Actually, that was some pretty clean coal. Was just getting started in that pit, barely room to work, about 2 feet thick, kinda rough to chop.

If I had only taken my camera today, there wouldn't be much black, mostly brown mud. What a nasty day and tomorrow promises to be worse.
