the laptop i have was $500 less and it is only half the machine. You only get into the 3K+ sums if you have no life. for most gamers a 2.4 dualcore with 3gb ram 512mb gup is more than enough..
Uhh I play PC games a LOT On my $475 laptop and they play great. Hell, it can play Crysis in med-low. SPECS

Ati radeon 3100HD with 256MB dedicated
3GB of RAM
BUT to play games I had to overclocked the graphic card to 800mhz to play crysis. Even with my cooling pad and two fans blowing into my laptop it still got hot! DAMN!
anytime around this time of the year...by december they will offer this model with better processor and a much lower price...however its not until one year of the product´s release that you see a great cut in the price..so in my opinion anyone buying this thing right now is either stupid or filthy rich. But if i had the money id buy it ...because ur not just paying fot peformance...

Not really, companies like apple are doing very well and their 17icnh laptop usually goes for $3000+ USD all in all. This alienware is like the Lamborghini of computers (even looks like them), they might be a little expensive but they are the only laptops that offer such a great design, not to mention duel GTX 280ms, you can't get those in any other 17inch. Thats why they can charge more, and they don't have to sell allot because they make a large profit on each one.

If unemployment raises up I think the economy would fall deeper than the Great Depression. People are losing their jobs, corporations are firing their employees (mostly because technology is replacing human resources, taking advantage of hurted economy) and the comsumption of goods and services is falling . Apparently Wall Street is showing good signs that the economy is recovering. Hope it keeps so.
