I used to hate Alonso back in 05 and 06 but i realized that he really is an amazing driver and now one of my favorites (not because He drives for ferrari). Its not always the car that makes the difference its also the driver, and those who think that Vettel won his titles only because of redbull they don't know nothing about f1.
Alonso won those two titles because the Renault was by far the best car in 05' and 06'. Schumacher is miles better then him. Alonso is an arrogant asshole who can't take his loss, as we saw in the last race of 2010.

Well Mclaren made a fundamental mistake that year by not choosing Alonso as their number one driver. Had they simply asked the slower Hamilton to give way at the US GP like they did with David and Mika in the 90’s, their driver would have won everything. Ron Dennis favoured Hamilton it was obvious.
@2333321983 It shows though that Mclaren are the only team who are like a motogp team and allow both their drivers to race to the finish and dont favour any driver unless they have to. In 07 they said to Alonso who complained and complained that he couldnt get by and wasnt going to get by the proper way like he should have done, they said he was racing lewis to the finish cos they were both title rivals at the time. It showed the world that Alonso cant handle the pressure from his team mates.
@FM5KR6F2007 He showed he could deal with the pressure by sticking it to Hamilton at Spa and by dummy faking him at Brazil. The old team boss did have a tendency to favour one guy over another. 07 could have been managed a lot better.

@FM5KR6F2007 Oh yeah, they went a darker shade of red in 08. I miss the aero profiling of back then. The 09 cars looked pretty skank, the best looking was the Red Bull i thought. The Ferrari in 09 was kinda gross, especially the front wing. This year they can do more stuff to that oversized front wing to at least make them look better. I hope they re-allow aero profiling in at least 5 years.
@2333321983 Probably a bit earlier than 5 years the way the rules change. The 09 car was like a mouldy loaf of bread. The worst looking Ferrari of the decade. The Red Bull looked great. Its very rare you get a good looking car able to win races and championships.

Dennis had a man crush on Senna which meant he snubbed Prost. After everything Prost did for Mclaren that was very uncool. Anyway a team boss shouldn’t develop homo crushes on his drivers because it turns everything into a soap opera, it’s very unnecessary. I repeat Jenson is very lucky the homo is gone. Alonso only ever gets pissed off when his slow teammates block his progress and rightfully so.
He is a double world champion with 23 race wins 8th of all time. He isn’t some chump ass amateur like his teammate. The reason why u pommie Hamilton fans dislike Alonso so much is because in 07 and even to this day no doubt the British tabloids demonize him, at the same time they create this image of Hamilton being the perfect individual who can do no wrong. It is only the British that have a real problem with Alonso,
none of your European neighbours suffer from the same symptoms. They are actually quite similar they are both self obsessed self absorbed selfish individuals, their only goal is to win and nothing else. That’s what Alonso fans like about him, he is very similar to Senna in that regard, the biggest douche of all time. Hamilton fans love his arrogance, but I think they are misguided in thinking that he is the most genuine guy out there.
Senna and Shumacher have both done appalling things on track, yet for some reason many poms regard Senna to be the best of all time, his death improved his image somewhat. Lennon dying improved his image in relation to Mcartney i.e. Prost (beatles metaphor). Alonso has never done anything near as bad as the worst things Senna & Shumacher did on track. The reason I analysed the drivers personalities is simply because u pom Hamilton fans seem to hate Alonso’s personality.
His personality has nothing to do with his talent; you just have to look at his achievements for a second to realize just how good he is. Do u guys even remember before 07? Shumacher was dominating in 03/04 and Alonso was the youthful guy in an awesome coloured Renault impressing the shit out of everyone with his skill. He would bring it to Shumi and everyone else which made things interesting, he was the light at the end of the tunnel during that period.
Yeah i would like to see him win races. It's just i think the young guys have more motivation plus they don't mind taking risks. I think MS will be more cautious than before. Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, are all hungry for more success. Alonso wants title number 3. Hamilton wants number 2, Vettel wants his first, making him the most motivated possibly. Shumi has a family, he is the richest driver ever, and he has already won everything over and over. I hope he stays 3 years wins 9GP to get 100 wins

Btw, are you saying the 2005 Ferrari was competitive? Only McLaren could match Renault in 2005, and not in reliability or Raikkonen would have been champion. He led more laps anyway even with the reliability according to stats.
Trulli 1 Alonso 0 in Renault in 2004 (before Trulli signed for Toyota he was ahead in points and also a win in Monaco)
@McLarenMercedes Hamilton didn't beat alonso in 07, they finished equal on points. Alonso had a very strong finish to the 04 season, Trulli was very good that year before he was kicked out, but you have to say they were equal. Alonso was the only Shumi challenger at certain races in 04. The "if not" for Raikkonen in 05 is guess work. It's not only Alonso vs Vettel this year, you have to add Button , Hamilton and Nico. Those are the main 5, Massa, Shumi and Webber aren't as good.

And Alonso had nothing to do with what went down in 08. That was between the boss the head tech and Piquet. @2333321983 PS, prost was not treated like a number two, he was given equal opportunity to win the championship. also, prost is very different to alonso. alonso likes to throw his toys out of the pram and often turns on his team when things get a little bit tough behind the wheel. he did it at renault and he did it at mc laren. at ferrari he is already showing signs of throwing his toys out.
If it wasn’t for the arrival of Hamilton I think English fans would still be indifferent regarding Alonso. Every time Hamilton wins or does better then Alonso it is a bad F1 day for an Alonso fan like me. Iam sure the opposite is true for others. Those two are the two most naturally gifted guys in f1 right now, I have my preference, each to their own. It’s a great rivalry and now that Alonso is with Ferrari it means the best years still ahead.

Well Shumi is old now, he doesn't have the same level of skill he once used to. Behind the wheel i mean, iam sure his technical feed back is still ace. I don't think Alonso will win 7 titles in his career, i would be very happy if he got a prost equaling 4th. Well Mclaren made a fundamental mistake that year by not choosing Alonso as their number one driver. Had they simply asked the slower Hamilton to give way at the US GP like they did with David and Mika in the 90’s, their driver would have won everything. Ron Dennis favoured Hamilton it was obvious.

@2333321983 It shows though that Mclaren are the only team who are like a motogp team and allow both their drivers to race to the finish and dont favour any driver unless they have to. In 07 they said to Alonso who complained and complained that he couldnt get by and wasnt going to get by the proper way like he should have done, they said he was racing lewis to the finish cos they were both title rivals at the time. It showed the world that Alonso cant handle the pressure from his team mates.

@FM5KR6F2007 He showed he could deal with the pressure by sticking it to Hamilton at Spa and by dummy faking him at Brazil. The old team boss did have a tendency to favour one guy over another. 07 could have been managed a lot better.

Kimi deserved it anyway, he had 6 wins to their 4. Plus his Ferrari that year was the coolest looking car i have ever seen

@FM5KR6F2007 Oh yeah, they went a darker shade of red in 08. I miss the aero profiling of back then. The 09 cars looked pretty skank, the best looking was the Red Bull i thought. The Ferrari in 09 was kinda gross, especially the front wing. This year they can do more stuff to that oversized front wing to at least make them look better. I hope they re-allow aero profiling in at least 5 years.

@2333321983 Probably a bit earlier than 5 years the way the rules change. The 09 car was like a mouldy loaf of bread. The worst looking Ferrari of the decade. The Red Bull looked great. Its very rare you get a good looking car able to win races and championships.

Dennis had a man crush on Senna which meant he snubbed Prost. After everything Prost did for Mclaren that was very uncool. Anyway a team boss shouldn’t develop homo crushes on his drivers because it turns everything into a soap opera, it’s very unnecessary. I repeat Jenson is very lucky the homo is gone. Alonso only ever gets pissed off when his slow teammates block his progress and rightfully so.

none of your European neighbours suffer from the same symptoms. They are actually quite similar they are both self obsessed self absorbed selfish individuals, their only goal is to win and nothing else. That’s what Alonso fans like about him, he is very similar to Senna in that regard, the biggest douche of all time. Hamilton fans love his arrogance, but I think they are misguided in thinking that he is the most genuine guy out there.

Senna and Shumacher have both done appalling things on track, yet for some reason many poms regard Senna to be the best of all time, his death improved his image somewhat. Lennon dying improved his image in relation to Mcartney i.e. Prost (beatles metaphor). Alonso has never done anything near as bad as the worst things Senna & Shumacher did on track. The reason I analysed the drivers personalities is simply because u pom Hamilton fans seem to hate Alonso’s personality.

His personality has nothing to do with his talent; you just have to look at his achievements for a second to realize just how good he is. Do u guys even remember before 07? Shumacher was dominating in 03/04 and Alonso was the youthful guy in an awesome coloured Renault impressing the shit out of everyone with his skill. He would bring it to Shumi and everyone else which made things interesting, he was the light at the end of the tunnel during that period.

Yeah i would like to see him win races. It's just i think the young guys have more motivation plus they don't mind taking risks. I think MS will be more cautious than before. Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, are all hungry for more success. Alonso wants title number 3. Hamilton wants number 2, Vettel wants his first, making him the most motivated possibly. Shumi has a family, he is the richest driver ever, and he has already won everything over and over. I hope he stays 3 years wins 9GP to get 100 wins

Btw, are you saying the 2005 Ferrari was competitive? Only McLaren could match Renault in 2005, and not in reliability or Raikkonen would have been champion. He led more laps anyway even with the reliability according to stats.
Trulli 1 Alonso 0 in Renault in 2004 (before Trulli signed for Toyota he was ahead in points and also a win in Monaco)
Let's see if he can take Vettel in 2010.

@McLarenMercedes Hamilton didn't beat alonso in 07, they finished equal on points. Alonso had a very strong finish to the 04 season, Trulli was very good that year before he was kicked out, but you have to say they were equal. Alonso was the only Shumi challenger at certain races in 04. The "if not" for Raikkonen in 05 is guess work. It's not only Alonso vs Vettel this year, you have to add Button , Hamilton and Nico. Those are the main 5, Massa, Shumi and Webber aren't as good.

@TheReppy They finished equal on points, 4 wins each, get ya facts right to begin with. Hamilton was the one whinging like a bitch after Monaco and Hungary, even though he was in the wrong. And Alonso had nothing to do with what went down in 08. That was between the boss the head tech and Piquet. Alonso left Mclaren because Ron was treating him like a number 2, just like he did with Prost. Button is very lucky that Ron Dennis in no longer team boss.

@2333321983 thank you for correcting me. alonso no longer looks like he was beaten by a rookie mentally or on the track. hamilton may have had a whinge but alonso turned on his team. seems to be a bit of a habit of his. yes, alonso had nothing to do with nelson being ordered to run into the wall. alonso left mclaren because he wasn't being treated like a number one ala schumi style. instead he was told to beat his team-mate, in other words earn the right to be number one.

@2333321983 PS, prost was not treated like a number two, he was given equal opportunity to win the championship. also, prost is very different to alonso. alonso likes to throw his toys out of the pram and often turns on his team when things get a little bit tough behind the wheel. he did it at renault and he did it at mc laren. at ferrari he is already showing signs of throwing his toys out.

If it wasn’t for the arrival of Hamilton I think English fans would still be indifferent regarding Alonso. Every time Hamilton wins or does better then Alonso it is a bad F1 day for an Alonso fan like me. Iam sure the opposite is true for others. Those two are the two most naturally gifted guys in f1 right now, I have my preference, each to their own. It’s a great rivalry and now that Alonso is with Ferrari it means the best years still ahead.

Well Shumi is old now, he doesn't have the same level of skill he once used to. Behind the wheel i mean, iam sure his technical feed back is still ace. I don't think Alonso will win 7 titles in his career, i would be very happy if he got a prost equaling 4th. I am not so sure about Shumi getting title number 8, i think he will win some races but thats it.

If Hamilton & Button have won a chamionship last two years... well, why not Schumacher (!)... Alonso es de los mejores pilotos que se tiene, sólo necesita concentrarse mejorar esa basura de Renault que tiene y ya veremos más adelante, otra cosa que se debe agregar es que por lo menos Alonso es limpio corriendo cosa que Schumi no lo fué siempre... tristemente el kaizer a veces hacia maniobras muy sucias.
También mucho ojo con Vettel cuando tenga un equipo bueno tendremos otro gran piloto en la categoría.
