faster than biking if you know what your doing. skating is much faster. just got some roces s104 2011's so i can lose some weight. ill be taking them to work. which is about 6 miles from my house. currenty im around 330lbs. been skating all my life but stopped in 9th grade when i started playing football and ended up gaining 100lbs. wish me luck on my way to fitness.

In Europe there is a lot of Downhill riders and the french that use SEBA's roller blade have no break. They slide to slow down or stop.

Man, the women in Cal are just beautiful. Those are some crazy turns on that hill, My Rollerbladin videos are more difficult--I have to fly around town with no brakes, no padding, vehicles everywhere, dodging people & hoping on/off sidewalks! Dont get me wrong, your video is inspirational-makes me want to go out and fly around & show off! The movie 'Airborne' is my top inspiration for Rollerblading! Hope to see more vids dude!

@victorequis the fool would die - "super lame" - I got love for both sports but I think Downhill Inline is a little more extreme.

Boarders have so many more options to speed check, slow down and stop ALSO you guys can eject (jump or bail off board) anytime.

On downhill Inline you don't have that option or other options of speed checking like DHLB have.

The only downhill skating sport I would say competes is Downhill Street luge.

@kejorafall Skateboarders' tucks are more streamlined than our inline tucks are. Skateboarders can tuck one leg behind the other which gives them a lot less air resistance. Skateboarders are faster in the straights than we are. We're a little faster in the turns.
