I really like the idea of the solar chargers on the flashlights. I hope that the costs come down even farther that we can see more green tech like solar power on all electronic devices sold in the future.
I just wanted to know what you meant when you said that those energizer lights were good up to a year. I'm not sure if you meant they could hold a charge that long, or they have a overall life of one year. Thanks
The new formulation in the Li-Ion batteries will keep for up to a year without losing charge. That's unlike most other rechargeable battery chemistry which will slowly lose its charge from the moment they are pulled from the charger.
Oh wow, that's good to know, I had assumed that these flashlights had nickel-metal hydride cells. I like the fact that they use Lithium, because NiMH cells take so long to charge and lithium is usually more than twice as fast. Thanks for clearing that up.
