  • They just made a paradox. A solar powered flashlight.

  • I really like the idea of the solar chargers on the flashlights. I hope that the costs come down even farther that we can see more green tech like solar power on all electronic devices sold in the future.

  • I just wanted to know what you meant when you said that those energizer lights were good up to a year. I'm not sure if you meant they could hold a charge that long, or they have a overall life of one year. Thanks

  • sirmasterpimp,

The new formulation in the Li-Ion batteries will keep for up to a year without losing charge. That's unlike most other rechargeable battery chemistry which will slowly lose its charge from the moment they are pulled from the charger.

    Peace,

  • Oh wow, that's good to know, I had assumed that these flashlights had nickel-metal hydride cells. I like the fact that they use Lithium, because NiMH cells take so long to charge and lithium is usually more than twice as fast. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Essentially it's a battery company making a product that doesn't sabotage their biggest profit making product. Batteries.
