gee,its nice to see anti-semites are still around , i thought for certain that would have been left behind long ago,but there it is, in all its hateful fervor.
I was in the Pavarit Valley in 1996 and spent two weeks camping at Kheer Ganga. There was no road then and very many more trees than in the film (the big forest appears to have gone). Just a little wooden box (3 meters by 3 meters) for everyone to sleep in at Kheer Ganga (unless you had a tent) and lots of Babas in the caves. Kids would come out on the walking paths and sell tollahs, 20 ruppees was the cheapest I paid. The sound of Bom Siva rang through the mountains.
hi i was there in 2003 and stayed by the cobra fall with a guy called navin in a cave, the forest was still there till then and there was only foot paths to go kirganga.i hope its still the same but i heard they are going to build a hotel up in kirganga that would be a disaster man.
@Didgebaba I was there in '94 & then the road went no further than Manikaram.....but they were talking about building it even then, as well as damming the Beas river. I don't blame the local people for wanting a road, everything had to be brought up the valley on horseback & cost twice as much, they didnt have any doctors or pharmacy's further up than Manikaram, and meanwhile they see Manali people becoming rich off tourism; so what can you do? Go find another roadless valley somewhere I guess.
bah.. I was in kasol for ten days, and met there lots of good israeli.. lots of them who don't like doing the army, and even one who goes to jail because he escaped army! not all israeli sucks,as not all french people are dirty and smell cheese..
