Loved this video, ive had my toby for 16 years and im dreading the day i lose him, he likes being held the same way jamie did. So great to see the last bit of his life was happy and fulfilled xxx
We have a cockatiel rescued from a crummy situation, too. He was living with a shut-in woman, who had chronic back pain and self-medicated, in part, by chain-smoking. When he came to us he was extremely underfed, featherpicked, and physically unbalanced, but hand--trained, which was encouraging. He's still really unbalanced, so he feels far too vulnerable to be as comfortable with us as your Jamie did with you. Still, he loves people and always calls to us when we leave the house. What and angel
Jamie looked like he is an amazing bird, I saw my bird die, It was a very sad time for me as we weren't expecting it. At least he passed listening to his favourite thing, your heart.
I've never been a big fan of birds but this made me tear up alittle, Jamie seemed like a really sweet, smart, fun loving bird :3 I'm sorry for your loss but happy that he had such a good life with you and your family.
Hi, I am sorry for your loss. What a beautiful cockatiel full of love and life and what a beautiful person to rescue him and love him the way you did and still do! Bless you both. I believe your paths were mean,t to cross and by doing so, you gave Jamie alot of love and happiness right up to the end! Lots of love to little Jamie in spirit. I believe that where ever you are little Jamie is there with you tweeting away by your little side just as he always did do! Godbless you both x
if anyone wants to know the pain angels like jamie go through a good site to go to would be mytoos.com i get so angry and cry so hard reading the stories of the bravest birds that have ever lived, and they did live, they loved, they cried.
i got my first cockateil when i turned 8, then we got many more, his name was cody and he was my most treasured freind, all of our male cockateils learned his song, he passed away when i was 14. And after he passed on the male cockateils would sing his song whenever i was around. I loved cody. We had others i loved alot to so i will honor them as well, RIP moonbeam, sunshine both lutinos, snow white albino show bird, wink blind pied, and rose grey female with the tallest crest ever. i love you all.
hello danita, the memorial vidioe of jamie was beautifull it was so touching and such a special little angel and so addorable ,i love bea too all my love deborah and little dinky the tiel who who is so lovely too xx
This video is really beautiful, so much love! I cried a lot also when I watched it. I'm 18 years old and have had 2 birds like this in my whole life, the first one died a couple of years ago and the other one died for a year ago. This video reminds me so much about them and still after so long time. I can't get over it. I miss them so much. Birds, especially these gives so much love to the humans they live with. My parents bought the birds and we had them for more than 20 year.
OMG Danita I am so very sorry to hear about Jamie.I loved following his story and how happy you made him! I saw how you made everything accessable to him , boy I wish all pets were so lucky. It broke my heart to know he is gone as he was so special, but he died in the arms of an angel who loved him. Please accept my DEEPEST SYMPATHY on your loss.
i cried so much watching this. my cockatiel passed a few weeks ago. she was a part of my life for 13 years and im still having trouble letting go. jamie looks like he was a very special little guy. your very lucky to have shared your life with him, and im sure the time he spent with you was the happiest time of his life.
Just came across this video. I'm sorry for your loss. My Tori flew away about a month ago - he was my first cockatiel. I hope Jamie and Tori will become friends in heaven.
Absolutely beautiful....this video also made me cry, hard not to. He was a very special bird and I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless you and Jamie...
@danita4 i can barely even watch this video myself, my cockatile died in march and i miss her so much and most of the things about your bird reminds me of mine
this video really made me cry....we have one named chiquitita, treated like a real baby....danita4, ur an angel for taking good care of jamie, and making his last moments worth living.
this brought tears to my eyes! but i'm so happy that he enjoyed so much love from you and he gave all his love to you in return. we too once had a rescued cockatiel Sunny, one wing was damaged, he died naturally. we now have 5 lovely cockatiels :)
He was so special to me. Sunny would of been a great little friend. Something about rescuing an animal, they have this look in their eyes whenever they see you. A look that says they trust and love you and grateful.
I saw this video before and thought I left a comment. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. You are wonderful to give him such a loving life. I wish everyone would rescue instead of buying.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Jamie is flying free of pain and sorrow. He loved you and its clear in how he interacted with you. Bless you for taking in Jamie and caring for him, making his final days happy ones. And he passed feeling your comfort and knew he was loved. I've lost several birds over the years but there are always those special ones that stay with you for a long time... Jamie will live long in your heart and always be with you.
Only this weekend I was given a cockatiel as a gift and came here to youtube to get some info and view some birds.. the story of Jamie made me smile and yet sad at his passing. You were very fortunate to have such a cute little angel as a companion.
He used to say that all the time. The only bird that was so happy when I came home. He would scoot across his cage to welcome me "Hello Jamie". His cage was beside my bed, every night he would sit beside me until I fell asleep, then he would go to his little warm sleeping spot. I miss him.
Danita I am balling my eyes out. That was so beautiful, you managed to capture some of the best of the life he had here with you and share it. God bless you for being so good to him, he had a really remarkable life in spite of his health problems. <3 Fly free sweet Jamie.
what is the song pls ? i cried too =O ... it's a nice story, i love birds too it's so beautyful
