  • Haha Noel playing rock and roll with his coat on! Lol

  • i adore this voice

  • LOL THE FRENCH LOVE THEM :D

  • BHN is not underated anymore. Good thing.

  • @TheMickSgrill now it's up to sotsog :)

  • @stupidnicks

    Yeah I'm afraid, mate.

But not in my eyes (or my ears lol).

  • "Be here now" changed my life.

D'you kwnow what i means, My big mouth, Stand by me, Don't go away, All around the world.

The best album from Oasis with "Definitely maybe".

  • his voice was changing at this time souns a little different

  • imagin kfc chicken without the original recipe, sure its fried chicken but its not the same,,

oasis is the 5 boys, maybe tony or alan, i prefer alan, but its the 5 boys, including bonehead and guigsy that make up the wall of sound oasis music, the stuff that loved and grew up with,

  • sounds like ian brown singing this one...funny

  • fuck the haters..this song could be the best oasis song up there with supersonic

  • NOEL YOUNG!!!

  • can u still buy the epiphone rivieras that bonehead uses?

  • coming in a mess going out in style, i aint good looking but im someones child..

who said be here nows lyrics were crap??

  • i think all the coke had two major outcomes. awesome, powerful songs like this, but also dragging everything on way too long and putting in seven hundred superfluous guitar tracks on each song. still my fav album of all time tho (not least because as a budding 6 year old music fan it was the first album i bought myself :))

liam is god but he sounded much better by the end of this song, maybe he should have warmed up more before it.

beady eye at the barras on my birthday!!

  • Who gives a fuck if Noels guitar playing wasnt the most technichally gifted. It sounded unbefuckinglievable. I've grown to love be here now, this and stand by me are it's best songs. Oasis are the greatest band ever end of.

  • god build me a time machine so i can go back, miss these days

  • 1:18 Noel on coke lol?

  • Alot of people claim that Noel technically isn't an amazing player, they may be right, but he always hits the right notes, always sounds brilliant, the solo in this is proof

  • @Renegademaster15

technicallity is opinions on what u think technique is,

sure guitarists like steve vai or bucket head are better then noel but

    thats not noels strong point,

noels strong point is making simple pop tunes, which a generation can relate to,

no one listens to bucket heads sweeping techniques, and say, that is a voice for a generation, yet when liam sings thats exactly how people feel, or when noel plays the simle open chords thats how people feel.

  • @sunj5976 I wouldn't agree that Noels strong point is making "simple pop tunes", I would definitely not say Oasis's repertoire are simply simple pop tunes, that is understatement of the century!

  • @Renegademaster15

ok, so do u consider oasis to be technical in terms of skills?

    c'mon its rock music,

noel has said numerous times himself, that he makes great simple songs,

i dont mean it in a bad way, i love oasis, their my favoureite band, but ur dilusional if u think their music is technical,,

in comparrison to bands like radiohead, tool, rush, or what ever,

  • @sunj5976 I think you are confusing technical ability on guitar with craftsmanship of a song, a song could have absolutely unbelievable guitar in it but not be an actual good song, I would personally say an example of this is many of the songs on Stone Roses second album, especially something like Love Spreads, so no what Noel does isn't technically amazing, however he is a master of actually crafting songs which isn't simple at it, a song like Champagne Supernova, is not a simple song

  • @Renegademaster15

yes, we both are in agreement but the definition of words we use are different,

when i mean technical, i mean from a theory point of view,

i mean, champaigne supernova in reality is just what 4 chords?? played appegio,

but yeah it definetly takes talent to make something like that,

what i mean, is of course it takes skills to write what noel writes, but i wouldnt call that technical skills, i'd call it artistry,

anyways, keep rocking oasis tunes, peace

  • @Renegademaster15

steve vai is another example of a truly amazingly gifted guitarist who makes pretty shitty music

  • Something major happened to Liam's voice end of 1996/1997.

    massive damage.

  • Come back oasis.

  • Noel Gallagher is GOD.

  • "Be Here Now" was the absolute best. Noel's drug use had him writing some of the best songs of all time ("Magic Pie", "D'You Know What I mean?", "Don't Go Away") and Liam's voice had reached a perfect equilibrium between the fluidity of his younger years and the roughness that would come.

  • @BostonFan247 WORD

  • @BostonFan247 please... i do agree with you about Liam's voice being at it's best during the Be Here Now days but as far as the songs... they're good, but they're not the best... Noel's drug use caused him to write songs that were too long with a guitar hook every 5 seconds and meaningless lyrics. Although I still like the album a lot and i think the guitar riffs are a breath of fresh air compared to the last few Oasis album's, the drugs didn't help overall. He had nothing to say on this album.

  • @sox999

this is the true rock and roll album, i mean definetely maybe had the attitude, morning glory was the softer side of things, then this album was the true balls out rock and roll album,

listen to the chorus man, it makes u forget everything in the world and only hear the music,, thats the magic of the old oasis

  • @BostonFan247 i think exactly the same, tho i debate to myself whether the perfect equilibrium was in 97 or 98

  • @BostonFan247 It´s quite good but every song lasts at least 5:00 min ¡¡¡¡ there are songs over 7 minutes, it is a great album but very very overproduced... it is a shame could have been one of their best ones....

  • @BostonFan247

    True mate!

  • @BostonFan247

True mate, his voice was the best from 97 to 05 I think, but absolutely best here.

In the early years, 94-96, he got a shrieky voice and in the late years it's too tired. Between 97-05, it's perfect!

  • @BostonFan247 Perfect analisys.

  • This was Oasis at their absolute best in many ways. Noel wrote the songs in a couple of hours, taught the chords to the others in the band and they just played. Oasis have never been the most musical band on the planet but they dont need to be. The melodies, attitude and the coolness of the music made the first 3 albums 3 of the best in history imo. Fantastic.

  • wouldve been fuckin loud in there......awesome

  • noeal look at liam

  • This was Oasis best line up as far as who was in the band, sure bonehead and guisy aren't as talented as Gem and Andy are but I think they were a more fun band when they were in it.

  • Bonehead n Guigs were the needed counter parts to the Gallaghers. Imagine five Gallaghers in one band... I think THIS is Oasis. Gem is a great musician but his sound is too polished. Prefer the dirty wall of sound

  • @kaffeypott

It sounds weird but Gem is just too good, eventhough i love him

  • @kaffeypott

yes exactly, thats what made oasis unique,

they turned everything on max and just played,,

it wasnt about a smooth sound, it was about being loud and rockin,

the real oasis ended after masterplan

  • appearance-wise i guess. Its hard to say musically as they only played exactly what Noel told them to play.

  • AMAZING

  • bonhead and guigsy just dont fit in, do they?

  • Stop looking to the image and listen to the sound...

  • is Noel wearing the same jacket that Liam is wearing in D'you Know What I Mean music video?? Lol

  • i just think imagine watchin tv oasis com on u thin this is guna be shit they cant compare to wat they have done and they just play this like havin a cup of tea

  • wow...they sound ridiculously coked up.

  • his voice sounds good here, right before it started changing

  • these are oasis that i still love

  • wish they would play this in the summer along with gas panic, im a big fan but i wana see a different set

  • totally fucking agree man, this , gas panic, who feels love, turn up the sun!!!! you going to wembly ?

  • Going to manchester mate, i mite go to wembly too if i can get a ticket. Lets hope they mix the set up a bit mate

  • Yes and can't wait!

Why isn't it July already? D'you know what I mean?

  • I know what chu mean!

  • I want liams shades >.>

  • This is a great live version of th song. Better than the GMEX 97 version.

Anyway I have a pair of those shades. Their American optical Original Aviators. Cheap but high quality shades. Found them as cheap as $40. About 20 pound if your English. Theres a review here on youtube.

    Peace

  • the beginning is similar to wonderwall, but a good song anyway!!

  • the intro is similar to wonderwall cos noel said it was like a transition from the morning glory era to the new Be Here Now stage and wanted to reference this change

  • its not similar its the exact same chords

  • Yeah, I'm loving Noel's jacket in this! I WANT ONE!

Anyone know what kind/style/brand it might be?

    Cheers. MADFERIT!

  • dunno, but i got a fishermans coat, which looks like it alot, does the job perfectly.

  • Ahhh cheers, BeleivingReason. Thanks for a response!

  • its ralph lauren polo

  • legends

  • my fav songs:

    1- Supersonic

    2- D'you know what i mean

    3- Morning Glory

    4- Slide away

    5- Wonderwall

  • agree, man!

  • thanx hehe

  • the bridge is my favourite part of the song..

    good performance

  • Love this song, my oasis fav ever... killer solo!

  • absolutely fucking brilliant!!!!!!

  • UTTER CLASS, NOELS JACKET TOP DOLLAR

  • be here now is my favourite album. the end.

  • Fackin awesome!!!

  • montreal sept 5th baby

  • The chords in the verse are the same as Wonderwall. BE HERE NOW is a great album.

  • really i mean the chords yes all of the Oasis album is great/awesome

  • chords are fractionally different

  • who cares, they're both great songs and they sound different enough

  • See you boys in Seattle on the 26th of August!!! 20th row baby!

  • Be Here Now is an incredible album. Most bands would kill for an album of such quality. I probably listen to this album more than any other Oasis album.

  • what a song... what a voice... what a fuckin class..

    GODS. LEGENDS.

  • this song is perfect for Liam's vocals. It showcases it very well

  • THEY KICK ASS QUIT HATIN

  • best band of all of time

  • do you mean liam's voice?

  • are u fuckin retarded?

  • don't be such a rude person asshole.....

  • Noel is still the best, fookin' genius

  • well in YOUR opinion, not in mine or in other milion people's opinion.

  • Oasis rawks! Theyre the best damn band in the world.

  • hehe lol!

the only problem with BE HERE NOW is that specials as you talking shit about it...

all the tracks are really flashin`

just can`t hear it anymore from that silly pricks!!!

  • Noel talks shit about Be Here Now too, he said that that's the worst Oasis' album LOL

  • Noel also put Magic Pie on that Album instead of Acquiese, shows how much he knows when it comes to his own music.

Top band, always have been, always will be.

  • ummm acquiesce was released two years earlier on the b side of some might say. im assuming you mean magic pie instead of stay young

  • i did mean that yes.

    cheers geezer.

  • Acquiesce was going to be where "Hey Now" was, it was replaced with Step Out and then finalled Hey Now on Morning Glory.

Stay Young was going to be where Magic Pie was. Magic Pie mananged to get on the album, even tho Magic Pie would have worked better as a B side.

  • thank god acquiesce didnt replace hey now. hey now is a true fucking oasis tune, gets me feelin so good.

  • THANK YOU! It's such and underrated song and gets so much shit, but its a top notch song whose beauty is found in its subtlety.

  • Quote from Noel Gallagher:

"If there's 3 songs I want to be remembered for it'd be Live Forever, Wonderwall and Magic Pie."

    Don't believe me?

Search NOEL BE HERE NOW INTERVIEW WITH MOLLY.

  • To be honest i will remember Noel Gallagher for changing my life!

  • When magic pie was released, the world wasn't ready for a song like that, it was years ahead of its time. Its glorious.

Ontopic: STEP OFF THE TRAIN! Lets have it! Tunnneee.

  • magic pie was never released. be here now (the album) was released, however you are right magic pie is genius and as far as the album goes they're all tuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnees

  • He plays better than you!! don't forget the english grammar....

  • That is what i can give... so he gives a lot me!!!! He play better than you can... !

  • wtf? just listen to usher or 50 cent. thx

  • the only problem with be here now, was some of the song choices, cuz the b-sides from that era were great.

cut out magic pie, fade in-out ( shoulda been on standing on shoulders of giants ) and put in 'the fame' , 'flashbax', 'stay young'

  • magic pie is the shit. listen to the acoustic version.. it is soo good.

  • i love the fame and stay young. Talking about flashbax is one of my favourite Oasis' songs, one of their best b-sides

  • one on the band's greatest song. what album is it taken from?

  • be here now

  • THANX

  • THANX

  • noel is fucking high

  • It seems like Greenday has "stolen" this song making Blvd of Broken Dreams...chords and rythm are very similar...But I don't think Greenday did it on purpose...

  • i did notice that but hey, lets enjoy them!!! =D

  • i like so much the final part but the whole song is awesome

  • Noel's so high

  • whats the question mark for. No question about it oasis are the best band in the world.

  • good song! i love oasis

  • songs like "d'you know what i mean" and "go let it out" should be recycled again...

  • No not exactly, especially in the studio versions of both songs.

  • Amazing.

  • no it aint the same gibson es335 as he uses now thats a custon es-335 sv and his one that he has now is a vintage one which johnny marr gave him

  • ME ENCANTA ESTA CANCION

  • yes, wonderwall is very useful

  • one of the best songs of Oasis, fucking class Liam

  • Thats the same 355 that noel plays all the time now.class song

  • Great tune! One of my favorites!

  • This song is very underrated! It's one of my faves, and Liam sounds amazing!

  • love**

  • one of there best songs i think they should bring back in the setlist for next tour

  • i don't think liam is still able to sing these songs...

  • yah. but i think this one might be manageable

  • immense

  • immense indeed !

    Their best song IMO

  • be here is a amazing album

  • Liams voice was fucking MEGA at the time Great stuff

  • yeah they have got to put this one back on the set list, its just fantastic with liams voice working

  • 1 ov the best oasis songs in my opinion

  • +1 )

  • fucking amazing tune and a stunning performance of it PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE bring this and 'Stand By Me' back to the Oasis set list, Please Noel for the love of god!

  • Ace Video. I love it

  • Better live vocals there than now, too much C&A?

  • OASIS the best band of all the time

  • I love this album...it is too bad the failure and criticism has led them to almost ignore it completely live.

  • his voice is stil gr8

  • im a fan of Oasis, but i dont like this album, man

  • BHN is one of the best albums every....maybe excluding Girl in the dirty shirt and I hope I think I know could have carried it to the DM/WTS?MG level...My fav track is My Big Mouth on this album...the others are my fav as well:-)....oasis rocks!!

  • i quite liked the album. liam & noels voices complement eachother very well on this song. Really like the harmonies that noel uses

  • amazing :)

  • top notch mate

  • BE HERE NOW the fuckin best album EVER!!! fuckin bastards!

  • my big mouth is terrible, i prefer headshrinker

magic pie sucks with mayonesse!, by far force of nature (also i hate that song)

Stand by me: a copy of whatever, but without magic and a lot of destroying guitars

D.Y.K.W.I.M: chords of wonderwall (same as the girl in the dirty shirt)is an average song.

by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar DBTT,cuz this have a lot of magic (except mucky fingers and a bell will ring)

  • you know nothing

  • fuck off bitching off all that oasis songs,,, if you dont like fuckin oasis, dont fuckn lissin to it man

  • You have used many half truths there.

  • why don't he just give the mic a blow job, geesh lol

  • yeah yeah :p

  • Fucking love it...do you know what I mean?
