The reason you got nothing on your second run was because GRINDING IT BREAKS THC CRYSTALS. oil comes from the bud and the crystals. I yield 3g from half oz

you should invest in a vac system, buy yourself a mighty vac hand pump and grab a mason jar if your trying to do it on the cheap. I guarantee your BHO is still filled with tane, which isn't healthy at all. If you vac it the final product will taste a lot better as well.
@dbpatnode That would be pretty much pointless. There wouldn't be more than trace amounts of butane in his oil, and butane is very safe. The LC50 for butane vapour in rats is 658000 mg/m3 for four hours, which is about 2 parts air to 1 part butane (hundreds of times higher than OPs oil would deliver), for four straight hours. Not only that, but high quality butane in very low concentrations is practically odourless (tasteless as well). So lighten up, brother, it's all good.
i dont know how it is with all plastic but i was reading that using a pvc pipe is quite dangerous because the butane erodes the plastic and gets mixed into the oil and cause damage. lots of people recommend using a copper pipe but that just means more work. cool vid :)

After scraping I put the oil in a half pint canning jar and put that jar on a coffee cup heater. The butane is gone in about an hour to two. I get excellent smokable oil in about 4.5 hrs. I start with 2 oz at a time
ive had the honey bee now for a couple years same color too. i love it! a great and cheap little device for making good quality oil. only thing i dont do is use a coffee grinder because i feel you lose alot of trichomes in the grinder. i think scissors take alot longer but more potent end result. i noticed also that you only used one bottle of butane i usually run 2 or three bottles through it depending on how full the tube is.try finding vector brand butane. more pure its refined 5 timeS!peace

@skillz139 very good way depending on how much u are playing on spraying but i have a very good oil maker i made out of a mini mag flash light take 7 to 5 grams to fill it . it can make over over a half gram to over a gram depending on stuff u usen i have a page on my site to show how much it makes for only 2 grams of shake cheeck it out
how much did you spend on that extractor? glass makes for the best extraction tube. You can have your local Scientific Glass blower blow you a custom tube to your detentions for 10 bucks. I had my local blower blow me one yesterday and it took him 5 minutes in front me me. works like a charm

it's recommended you use 150 + proof alcohol, to thin it down slightly, this will allow pretty much help any trapped butane to escape, you would not need to wait 24 hours.
I would not use 99% rubbing alcohol, this leaves behind chemical residues after you evaporate the alcohol off, they can and sometimes to cause health issues to people that use it. In fact any and all rubbing alcohol should be avoid.

@CannabisGanja i don't smoke anything until all the butane is evaporated of course. i let it sit on my heat vent over night which speeds up the evaporation very quickly. i just like to scrape it before its evaporated because its easier.
