I'm wondering why the Order was that surprised that the Death Eaters attacked because why else would they need seven Harrys if they had a feeling that they would try to attack them on their route.

@MrCodyhoskins I'm not sure if this was in the movie or not..I distinctly remember in the book that the Order left a hint where the Death Eaters would hear it from that the Order would be moving Harry a different night. This way, the Death Eaters would think that they were moving Harry one night when they were really moving Harry days earlier. They made seven Harrys just in case the Death Eaters found out, which is good since they were betrayed & the Death Eaters came the real moving night.

@GundamMeister00 Those weren't dragons, but thestrals (winged, skeletal horses that only become visible to those who have witnessed death). As for whether Harry becomes an Auror, the book never really says.

@TheSuperBoy89 u should read the book. but to answer your question...there were seven potters because 6 of his friends volunteered to take polyjuice potion to disguise themselves as harry--they did that to help improve the real harry's chances of safely reaching one of the order of the phoenix's safe houses. However, Voldemort and his followers were waiting for them in the skies, and tried to stop them. They found out about the plan to transport Harry from Snape. Now go read the book(s).
